I just upgraded so I have the following for sale: AMD Athlon XP 2700+ with retail fan (bought it new retail), installed on a ASRock K7VT4A mobo which I bought new retail which comes with 1 GB of RAM installed. I have all of the boxes, packing, etc. for this to go with it. Everything is put together so you just need to slap it in a case with a HD and you're set. If you need a 250watt power supply I can throw that it, too. Never overclocked or abused. Has been totally solid since I first put it together. Will not separate. $99 ALSO: GeCube Radeon x1600 Pro agp which I bought new for the above system. Comes with retail box. Never overclocked o…

GeForce 680i Motherboards Snub Quad Core Yorkfield "So it seems that the 680i chipset has support for the quad core Yorkfiled (and dual core Wolfdale), but it seems that the 680i motherboards have been built in such a way that quad core Yorkfiled (and dual core Wolfdale) will not work on almost all 680i motherboards produced. So all in all, 45nm Intel CPUs are not a mix with the current 680i. NVIDIA stresses that we look forward to the next-gen chipset for support, which of course requires buying a new motherboard. All of this begs the question, at least in my mind, “Did NVIDIA know this was coming?” Obviously if it did know this was coming back during reference …

So I happen to be friends w/ Jericka Duncan from Channel 4 News and she is interested in possibly doing a piece on our group about how we utilize our computer resources toward cancer research (WCG) when we arn't fragin some noobs in game. She wanted to just come to my house w/ a camera crew but I thought it may actually be best for them come come to one of our monthly events so see us all together and we can do demo's of WCG all running at the same time (graphic & non Graphic) and then they can do a few shots of us playing CoD4 or something. She 1st has to present the idea to her editor and then if he ok's it then we (Bob) needs to be ok w/ it. 15 mintues of …

Dude didn't send it with the card I bought off of him and I need to determine if this card works. It's one of these: New power supplies have them built in, and video cards come with them. But I have two good power supplies and don't need to buy a new one. I called all over but no one around has these connectors "in stock" - that is if they even knew what I was talking about. I can order one for $1 online but then shipping is another $6 and will take a week to get here. Someone must have a spare they can sell me? Please!

Service Pack 3 kicks in the turbo "According to many testers of the latest build of Service Pack 3 for Microsoft Windows XP, users can expect a performance increase over the current Service Pack 2 versions of XP. The performance increase is said to make XP running Service Pack 3 faster than Windows Vista running Service Pack 1, which is not exactly good news for Microsoft. According to reports the performance boost can be as much as 10% with XP SP3 over XP SP2."

I'll schedule an FPS night for us to get together online. I'll also post the TeamSpeak info as well so please download and install Teamspeak2 client and setup your push to talk button correctly. The info will all be in our STEAM scheduled events. If you aren't on STEAM please try to get it as TF2 is one possible game, as well as CoD4 and BF2 for FPS night.
