I love the convenience of the front audio connectors on my case. I need a sound card that is compatible with the AC976 connector or an HD connector. I have the X-Fi Extreme music card good card but it is not compatible with front audio on the case. I have seen that creative has released an X-Fi gaming card that has those connectors on it. I would be willing to trade my X-Fi Extreme music for the X-Fi Extreme gamer card. Can anyone help me out with this.

I have brought this HL2 mod up before.... MINERVA. I have played the first 2 episodes and have to say they are really good... http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/MINERVA ...and noticed a new episode had came out just before the orange box... I logged into steam today and BAM "During the Orange Box frenzy of the past couple weeks, it would have been easy to miss this great release: Minerva has a new installment, and it's the best one yet. Every owner of Half-Life 2 should download and play this single-player mod immediately. By the way, it's free." This is a mod that is worth checking out... ...Even Valve thinks so, which is a very big complement to the…

Hey all. Basically Im getting ready to put a solid overclock on my e6600. Winter time temps dont look to be a problem but when summer heats things up it might be a little much for stock. Does anyone have suggestions on good air cooling I could buy thats not too harsh on the budget and just as importantly not too loud ? I could also consider water but dont have experience with it yet and im seeing it to be somewhat expensive by comparison. Any suggestions or input is appreciated as always. Thanks, Wayne

Phenom FX and X4 line-up unveiled "The Agena will launch in a few iterations and it will be known as Phenom X4 9xxx. The slowest one works at 2.2GHz, the mid-range one is a 2.4GHz part and the top of the range model will tick at 2.6GHz. Again, faster parts are planned for 2008." K10 to be cheaper than Core 2 Quad "Our well informed sources have suggested that clock to clock AMD CPU will be cheaper than Intel’s 45 nanometre quad core parts. This is AMDs only chance to get the face back and we can only hope that AMD will be better in clock per clock battle, of course for fallen AMD’s sake."

Ubuntu 7.10 Released. Ubuntu's New 'Gutsy Gibbon' Brings Linux Out of the Jungle http://www.ubuntu.com/ to download... "Gutsy Gibbon is certainly easier to install and set up than Windows Vista, and it's very close to matching Mac OS X when it comes to making things "just work" out of the box. Wi-Fi, printing, my digital camera and even my iPod all worked immediately after installation -- no drivers or other software required." "When it comes to finding and installing applications, the Add/Remove Programs feature in Ubuntu surpasses both Windows and Mac OS X. Whereas Windows and Mac users usually need to comb the web for popular applications for their newl…

Catalyst™ 7.10 claimed a lot of performance enhancements: ATI Catalyst 7.10 Analysis - XP & Vista "Performance is the name of the game this month, performance increases are what AMD have promised with Catalyst 7.10. Labeled as the “Shoot em’ Up Driver” we have a huge line up of improvements. Unfortunately while we don’t test all of the programs there are a number that we do. You want to read this as much as I want to write it so let’s not ramble on and just get straight into it."

Unreal Tournament 3 Beta Demo Soon "Just wanted to give you a heads' up that we're getting pretty close to releasing the Unreal Tournament 3 Beta Demo for Windows. The Beta Demo will allow instant action play against bots as well as online multiplayer. The purpose of the Beta Demo is to test the game on a large variety of hardware configurations and get gameplay feedback from the community. The development team feels they're pretty close to being ready to release this so it could come out this week but for safety sake I'd say it should be out within two weeks."
