Exactly what I predicted would happen when Guitar Hero's first appeared. http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10465715-1.html Instead of using plastic simulations of guitars that are essentially just dressed-up plastic game controllers, the game uses fully functional six-string guitars that control the game, but can also be played in real life. We got a sneak peek at an early version of the game and its hardware, and came away impressed with the general concept. The guitars have quarter-inch instrument jacks, which can be used to hook them up to any guitar amp. When connected to an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 console, you press a button and a dampening …

Yet another band is complaining about John McCain's use of their song to promote his campaign. This time, it's the Foo Fighters. "The saddest thing about this is that `My Hero' was written as a celebration of the common man and his extraordinary potential," the band said in a statement. "To have it appropriated without our knowledge and used in a manner that perverts the original sentiment of the lyric just tarnishes the song." The band noted it's not the first time McCain has been told to stop using a song. John Mellencamp, Heart and Jackson Browne have also complained — Browne even filed a lawsuit. http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5ijiz8FL...jpxKEAD93MLV400

Massive outage hits XM Radio "We called up XM technical support and it was apparent that the customer service representative was reading from a script. He told us that "engineers were aware of this problem" and that they did not have an estimated time of completion. He added that we should continuously point our antennas towards the southern sky for when the signal did come back." :yahoo: hahah, they have not merged yet ... w00t! got Sirius

With all the talk about HDTV I figured I would see what ppl think about HD vs. Satellite Radio. I happen to have a HD and (2) Satellite recievers and they are all pretty kewl. The one thing they need to added to HD radio that my sat receivers have is a recording feature with a rewind so you can listen to a song you like again and also song and game score alerts that tell me when a song or artist I like is on another channel and allows me to press a button and switch to that channel a few secs before the song starts and what the score of sporting events are with out having to listen to the whole game or even having to change the channel. One of the big advanages of Sat rad…
