http://www.bit-tech.net/news/hardware/2009...-ii-to-6-5ghz/1 By pushing the core temperature down to a nippy -232 degrees Celsius – that's 41.15 Kelvin, or just a handful of degrees above Absolute Zero – the team were able to tweak the processor to run at an FSB of 280MHz and a multiplier of 22.5, giving a whopping 6.3GHz speed across all four cores. This rather impressive feat allowed Team Finland – and AMD, of course – to snatch the world record for benchmarking suite 3DMark 05 with a mind-boggling top score of 45,474.

Hey hi all you WNY gamers. I'm trolling this forum for parts to upgrade my ancient rig. Currently I can't really participate in any lan parties past leeching, and reinstalling my OS is pain since the motherboard came out just as the standard was changing to SATA drives. (there's all kinds of BIOS resets necessary, it's a huge pain). So if you have some parts that your trying to get rid of let me know as I begin cobbling my Frankenputer together.

Upgrading but after spending a day looking at ideal components Ive given up on the grounds its just too darn expensive. So im looking to do a quite respectable rig in the $1000'ish range. Can be a little over. Honestly I could afford to do a big system but simply cant justify the expense. I wanted to try a small case / mini comp type build : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16811112222 So been eyeballing microATX boards and the goodies to go with. After checking out Toms HW I looks like the i5 750 is the way to go. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-...i5,2410-14.html http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-g...cpu,2570-6.html …

The image was accompanied with the following explanation: "In anticipation of an upcoming announcement from Valve." http://www.pcworld.com/article/190775/stea...ng_to_os_x.html http://www.macrumors.com/2010/03/0…
