A group of hardware and software hobbiests specializing in embeddded systems who've released their own custom firmware for Motorola Surfboard cable modems. The firmware lets you log in to an interactive VxWorks shell, or issue commands from a Web browser through an http interface. You load it by tapping an undocumented console serial port on the circuit board. So far, uncappers are apparently the primary consumers, and they're downloading up to 400 copies a day. Surfboard hax

Some ideas are being thrown around about the look and content of the site. With it growing (slowly, but surely)...we need more content and style. The main page has already changed from maroon/burgandy/cranberry to blue!! Please post any ideas and/or opinions in this thread. I would like to see: 1. Pictures taken at every LAN and posted 2. Member list of who attended 3. Game list of what was/will be played 4. Screenshots of the fragged/gibbed 5. More smileys

Does anybody have a UT Redeemer in their back pocket? I want to head down to Punxsutawney Pennsylvania and get that groundhog before he predicts 6 more weeks of winter! Or maybe a flak cannon, my weapon of choice.

OK gang, here's a special being offered @ GameStop ( www.gamestop.com ) for this game... Pre-order UT2004 for $39.99 & get a FREE Unreal Medallion w/ your purchase. The game is due out Feburary. I'm not saying that this is WAY COOL or anything, but it's the only offer I've come across so far that has something to give U when U order the game. The medallion doesn't look all that bad. If nothing else, it's a Christmas Tree decoration Just thought that I share this w/ U. -- Nem

WinterLAN04 Saturday February 21st starting at 3pm Been trying to shot for hosting 3 to 4 LANs a year, Well I am starting early this year. WinterLAN04 will start this off, even though I don’t know if we can beat the 20+ ppl at B.Ob’s in January. I have reorganized and heated the garage to seat 22+ and if all else fails we can use the upstairs also. Most likely only I will show up so there should be plenty of room. Line up to include: Anything New (UT2k4, Battlefield Vietnam) that might be out, BF1942 DC Mod, Ghost Recon, Call of Duty and Need for Speed (HP2 or Underground)* *Line up subject to change at anytime Also, full 1000Mbps ports now available, so…
