Three Quarters There : Seagate’s Barracuda 7200.10 750 GB "The first "mainstream" launch of perpendicular recording technology is in the form of the Seagate Barracuda 7200.10. With peak storage capacities of 750 GB (or 0.75 TB, if you will), the launch of this product is garnering some high profile attention toward this new recording technology. In a sea of 500 GB drives on the market, Seagate has suddenly (and somewhat unexpectedly) rocketed in front of the competition in terms of storage capacity. We managed to get our hands on one of these drives for testing, which we've put through our usual battery of storage tests." Seagate's Big Kahuna: The 750GB 7200.10 Ha…

World of Warcraft has been rumored to be jumping platforms to the Xbox 360 for some time, but if The New York Times is correct, the next jump it makes will instead be to the world of film. The Times is reporting that Blizzard will announce Tuesday that its massively successful, massively multiplayer online role-playing game is set to be made into a big-budget fantasy picture along the lines of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings films, with Warner Bros.' Legendary Pictures handling the production. New York Times

This hit yesterday, but I was busy trying to read these all.... Hexus.net Toms Hardware Anand Tech.com Beyond3D HardOCP For those that would like a more indepth talk with ATI on the x1900 series: R580 Architecture Interview "If you look at apps such as 3dmark05, FEAR, D3/Q4, and many new upcoming titles, you'll see that the RV530 often doubles (or more) the performance against RV515, at the same clock. Same is true for X1900 vs X1800. Having said that, if you're running older apps, yes, the extra shaders might not benefit you as much, but again, we designed these parts for an excellent performance on current games, and an even better performance on the new…

Corsair 2GB XMS-4400PRO DDR Memory Kit (quick specs) Corsair 2GB XMS-4400PRO DDR Memory Kit Pictorial Review! "Here's a closer look at the ridged surface of the XMS PRO heatspreaders. The ridged design increases the heatspreaders' surface area. Together with the increased height of the heatspreader, Corsair says the XMS PRO heatspreader has 95% more surface area than standard Corsair XMS heatspreaders. The greater surface area improves the heatspreader's thermal dissipation, which is useful if you are overclocking and/or overvolting."

Quadtet: Nvidia GeForce 7900 Quad SLI Performance Unveiled "But quad SLI is not meant to be inexpensive. It is meant to offer something that nothing else can and make owners of such technologies feel like the owners of Ferrari or Lamborghini, luxurious sports cars. Very few people can afford those automobiles and considerably more can acquire less expensive mass-produced sport cars and tune them to performance that is not significantly below the cost of a new Ferrari. Still, being an owner of black Lamborghini should bring a totally different feeling than being an owner of a blue Nissan. The same applies to quad SLI: perhaps, some graphics cards may perform truly well…
