Halo v1.02 server is up!! You'll need the 1.02 patch installed. Just go to Multiplayer, then direct ip, type in the url or ip and then start game. Unfortunately, there are no bots but I will make the server public, so it will give you a feel for it before this Sat's LAN party!!

I've been playing with custom game types a bit, with an eye of putting them on server of course. For example, I was looking at Blood Gulch with just 2 rocket warthogs and a tank for each side. Opinions? You can select how many each side gets, which seems determined how many predefined spaces they put in the map for them, whether not you'll actually see that many. Also, that means you can't define the placement where each vehicle is stationed. (probably need to edit the board for that)

I found a small handful of commands surfing the interweb, so I decompiled the halo.exe and found a ton, but only tried a few...and the few I tried didnt work. Has anyone already done this and has a list of the ones that work?? Here are some examples: rasterizer_wireframe 0 hud_filter 0 player_magnetism 0 speed_hack_detection 0 player_autoaim 0 It's funnah how many of these variables have swear words find_all_fucked_up_shit 0 model_animation_bullshit1 0 Im not looking for cheats, just optimization to consistently playing over 100fps. There has to be a way to not show the HUGE weapons!! Playing at 1024x768 - ~60fps Playing at 800x600 - ~85fps

Septultimate: The Last Update "It isn't literally the last update of course, since there's lots to do and say between now and November 9th, but I can honestly say that there's no more updating on the progress of the game, since the game is done. Finished and shipped to a nebulous region known as RTC (Release To Certification) where it will be dumped from eight digital tapes onto a DVD and go through some final testing. Usually that's just a matter of routine, but we'll be watching our email carefully through next week…"
