Valve gives free games to ATI Radeon owners "To be more precise, Half Life 2: Lost Coast tech demo and Half Life 2: Multiplayer are unlocked and free for all the folk with ATI cards carrying "Radeon" moniker. In order to ease the deal, starting from now, ATi Catalyst will come with a bundled installation of Steam. Since Steam is only some 0.6MB in size, it will not increase download by much. This Catalyst+Steam bundling deal will last until mid-2008, but offer for ATI owners will remain – a definite cool move by ATI and Valve folk."

Exclusive Interview with Epics Tim Sweeny on Unreal-Engine-3 and UT 3 PCGH: Can UT 3 be played with full detail on a single core machine? Tim Sweeney: You can play UT3 at any detail level on any machine; the dependent variable is the frame rate! If you have a fast GPU (and thus aren't GPU-bound), then you'll notice significant performance gains going from a single-core PC to a dual-core PC, and incremental improvements in going to quad-core, at a constant clock rate.

We've been running into some problems over at the Frag Shack lately, and we need your help to figure it out! We all know and love the WNY crew, so Shaggy and I have been trying to figure out the best way to make the gamers happy at our LAN's, without interfering with WNY's dates. There's a poll up in our forums right now for the best LAN day. It's a tough choice, between Fridays and Saturdays....So many choices, so little time... If you have any suggestions, we're open to them. We don't want to have our numbers dwindle any farther down the toilet, so please, come cast your vote and have some fun at the LAN.
