So, I've been running on some of PurSuiT's old gear for quite some time now (so-so 939 mobo with an Athalon X2 4400+, 2GB DDR400, 7950GT video), and I figured it's about time I upgrade. Now, I'm trying to keep the price around 500, since I really don't have much to spend. Here's what I've got for my new setup... Motherboard - ASUS M2R32-MVP CPU - Athalon 64 X2 4600+ Cooler - ZEROtherm BTF90 RAM - 4GB WINTEC AMPX (DDR2 800 Video - Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR3 Definitely not top-of-the-line gear, but it's better than what I've got right now, and it's got plenty of room for upgrades in the future...

I just ordered stuff for a new system: ABIT IX38 Quad GT | Intel E8400 Wolfdale | OCZ Reaper 2GB PC2 8500 | CORSAIR 750W | XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 ...so naturally I am grinding the hardware forums and reviews to see what other people are getting OC'ing. After reading a lot of the threads from OPs and "expert" repliers I've come to realize these people should be buying Dells. I know a few of the members here OC, so just wanted your see your process. 1. Set a budget to work with, then read reviews/forums to see what would fit in that budget 2. Hey all. Basically Im getting ready to put a solid overclock on my e6600. Winter time temps dont look to be a problem but when summer heats things up it might be a little much for stock. Does anyone have suggestions on good air cooling I could buy thats not too harsh on the budget and just as importantly not too loud ? I could also consider water but dont have experience with it yet and im seeing it to be somewhat expensive by comparison. Any suggestions or input is appreciated as always. Thanks, Wayne
