Level Designer Current Positions Available Level Designer We are looking for level designers with the following experience. Job requirements: * Unreal / UnrealEd experience is a huge plus. Xbox 2 - Everything we know! "With the release last week of a purportedly leaked white paper directly from a Microsoft employee, speculation has begun anew over the state of the follow-up console to Microsoft's Xbox. For months, Xbox fans and industry wags have been putting their two cents in regarding the console, speaking up on everything from the name of the system to the detailed specifications to the possible launch titles, but it's hard to figure out who to believe. Well, we're here to tell you that we don't know who to believe either, but we're going to try to give you all of the details we could find on the new system."

Interview with ATI's Richard Huddy and Kevin Strange "All of us here at ATI share these guys' passion for games and it's my responsibility to make sure that we help predict as well as solve developers' problems. Although ATI pay us, we work for the developers almost as much as we do for ATI, always focusing on creating win-win situations."

  9. AnandTech: NVIDIA's Scalable Link Interface "When asked whether it would be possible to connect the cards together with something along the lines of a cable, NVIDIA indicated that the PCB approach had afforded them superior signaling qualities, but that they continued to look into the viability of other media. As this is new technology, NVIDIA is slightly weary of sharing some of the lower level details with us. We asked whether their SLI uses a serial or parallel interface (usually fast parallel interfaces are more sensitive to signal routing), but we were told that they may or may not be able to get back to us with that information. Either way, this is going to have to…

  10. Sources close to Microsoft's senior Xbox executives have confirmed that the company does not intend to make its next-generation console, which is set to be launched by late 2005, backwards compatible with existing Xbox software. Speculation about the backwards compatibility functionality has been rife since it emerged that Xbox 2 - codenamed Xenon - will have radically different hardware to the original system, with a non-x86 processor, no hard drive and an ATI, rather than NVIDIA, graphics chipset, all of which would make running Xbox titles on the platform very difficult. It was widely believed, however, that Microsoft had retained a team of hardware emulation …
