Long-Awaited KOTOR II Mod Restores Missing Content, Faith in Humanity Bioware's original Knight's of the Old Republic (KOTOR) was a smash hit on both the XBox and PC when it launched back in 2003. Anxious to mint fresh cash from its Star Wars IP, LucasArts commissioned the second title: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. Obsidian Entertainment was tapped for the task and given just a year to develop a sequel to what was considered one of the best (if not the best) games of 2003. KOTOR II began promisingly; early stages of the game offered at least as much immersion and character development as the original. As players progressed, however, the unfinished n…

http://hackaday.com/2009/08/03/diamond-thermal-paste/ [Jared Bouck] over at InventGeek writes about his experience making his own thermal paste. Diamonds can be up to five times as thermally conductive as silver, the primary ingredient in most popular thermal compounds. He combines 60,000 mesh diamond dust he ordered off eBay with non-conductive silicon grease using a special mixer he constructed to keep down the dust. After some experimentation he achieved a max load temperature of 38 degrees Celsius versus a leading silver paste’s temperature of 57c on the same system. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermal_conductivity List of thermal conductivity values…

This has been posted before but figured I would bring it up again to our members http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/vie...mId=6D5XNJBR9N1 WNYG has a WCG team and would love if more members joined in. World Community Grid can be used with the BOINC Client and uses unused CPU time (idle time) to work on projects that help us all. I got involved with this in 2004 when I saw that one of the projects was to find a cure for breast cancer, which was how I lost my mother over a decade ago. Check it out and join in, you never know a result returned from your idle CPU time may save your life someday.

Too Many Members to Show.... We have 153 members and need to kick people that have not logged into steam in like 200 days so that we can get below 150 so that everyone can see people again in steam... Anyone have rights to kick? It would be in the drop down for "Admin Options" but I don't see that for me. Even though I'm an admin on it I don't see where to kick.

http://www.instructables.com/id/Rework-a-U...ssive-Capacity/ Those UPS devices you buy for your computer usually have a gel-cell battery that lasts for a few years. Less if your power goes out a lot. When you replace them, you pay a bundle, even if it's a standard cell. This short Instructable will demonstrate how to rework an older UPS for more capacity with cheaper battery power. The picture shows some sample UPSs and an example of the gel cell from one of them. The UPSs come in various capacities and, although you can boost the capacity, the output power is fixed. When you start out, make sure that the UPS you're going to modify will provide the volt-amps an…

taken from http://www.zam.com/story.html?story=19452 Developed by Cryptic Studios, Champions Online is the world's next superhero-themed MMO, launching on September 1. It's been in the works for a couple years now, originally slated to be a Marvel Comics superhero MMO, until the licensing rights fell through and Cryptic designed it around the Champions pen-and-paper RPG. A series of closed and open beta testing periods were played out over the summer, with fans finally having the chance to give Champions Online a try. The early-subscriber head start begins on August 28, allowing early-adopters the chance to start leveling their characters a few days sooner than e…
