As you probably all know I'm new to the site. I use to live in Alexander (it's near Batavia), but now I live in CNY near Syracuse. I found you guys through the LAN party list on unrealtournament.com. I run a small UT2004 server (for right now, will expand to HL2 and BF1942) that a few of my friends and I play on a few nights a week. If anyone is instrested in joining in let me know. We're not serious "fraggers" and get all bent on total domination, but just there to have fun and beat the crap out of something that won't sue us. Oh, if this is in the wrong place feel free to move it, and give me a big ole E-slap at the same time. It'll take me a little while to…

AMD, Intel unwrap their latest server chips "With Tulsa, a dual-core Xeon server chip from Intel coming in the second half of the year, the emphasis tips toward performance. The chip will run at 3.4GHz, faster than the 3GHz Xeon chip (formerly code-named Paxville) on the market today. Tulsa also comes with a 16MB unified cache, a large reservoir of memory on the chip for rapid data access. This means that each of the cores can access data from the entire cache. Presently, Intel and AMD dual-core chips sport segregated caches; dual-core chips from IBM come with a unified cache."

Evil Overlord List "Being an Evil Overlord seems to be a good career choice. It pays well, there are all sorts of perks and you can set your own hours. However every Evil Overlord I've read about in books or seen in movies invariably gets overthrown and destroyed in the end. I've noticed that no matter whether they are barbarian lords, deranged wizards, mad scientists or alien invaders, they always seem to make the same basic mistakes every single time. With that in mind, allow me to present..."

Whisky PC "I already had a powerful computer setup so I wanted something more quiet, small and low power consumptioning to function as a basic home server. I love to tinker with hardware etc. so I wanted to make something quite unique for a case. I have seen many nice and creative cases before but none of them were made out of a bottle."

Top 12 finalists in the VIA Doom3World Quake 4 Mapping competition "The 2005/2006 competition was a tremendous success, resulting in some really classy maps that are highly suited for pro-level duel tournmanet matches. You will likely find that a few of the maps might actually be better suited to small FFA or TDM matches, however, depending on your prefences and opinions. We even thought that a couple of them would be perfect as Rocket Arena style maps as well. This uber map pack contains all of the top 12 entries."
