So I reinstalled Website Watcher last night, bookmarked the top 10 sites that carry the x1900xt, set to check the price every 10 minutes and to email me @ work/home if it changes. This program is very useful if you're into the refurbs @ newegg as that stuff get snapped up fairly quickly. Bought my current video card and motherboard that way, saved about $110 and lasted 3 years. I plan to do this for the ideal RAM, motherboard, case, etc. Will be looking at Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe, 2x1G XMS or OCZ RAM, 2x hdd (Raptor 150G and WD 250G or more), 600W PSU, etc. Please list any suggestions as some of you guys research hardware all day every day, :dork:

New Intel quad-core chips are really double duo-cores "The move isn't a major surprise: It's the same approach the chipmaker took a generation earlier when introducing its first dual-core processors. But it does indicate the urgency Intel feels to get products--due to arrive in 2007--to market to stay competitive with Advanced Micro Devices."

ATI x16 vs x8 Performance "A couple of weeks back we looked at the performance of the nForce x16 chipset by plugging a couple of 7800GTX cards in SLI mode and finding out how much extra performance we could gain by having two dedicated PCI-E x16 lanes instead of one that’s split into two X8 lanes. The results were disappointing with only one game, Quake4, showing any performance gains. Now with ATI’s Xpress 3200 Northbridge officially launched, we figured its only fair to put ATI to the same test and thus today, we will show the performance difference between two X1900XT cards under the older ATI RD480 chipset which has two PCI-E x8 lanes and the newer ATI Xpress…

ATI plans price cuts "X-bit labs reports that ATI plans to make price cuts on its Radeon X1000 line of graphics cards later this month. The move will reportedly follow NVIDIA's release of its GeForce 7900 GT and GTX graphics cards, which are expected to sell for $299 and $499, respectively. The new ATI prices as quoted by X-bit labs are $549 for the X1900 XTX, $479 for the X1900 XT, $299 for the X1800 XT 256MB, $149 for the X1600 XT, and $109 for the X1600 Pro. If the $299 price for the X1800 XT is genuine, the card will likely be a tough competitor to the rumored $299 GeForce 7900 GT, which is expected to have similar specifications to the current 7800 GTX. ATI …
