We've been looking into getting a ranked server for BF2. Well we've already done the looking and pretty much found the provider we're going with. Question. Who would be interested in taking part in this? We're thinking no more than $5 a month(we still need to discuss). We'll make sure you always have a spot and a spot on the TS server, which won't be a prob with 50 slots. We would be running plain jane BF2 most of the time and probably make special days to run Special Forces and the other expansions. Can't think of anything else right now. If you guys have any questions, ask 'em. Dragon

Official Obsidian Interview - Robert McGinnis (QA and Community relations) 4) What are some of the things you are working on now that you can talk about? Probably the best thing I have been working on lately is getting the Community Representative program put together. We received a ton of applications and I think we were able to get a great bunch of people involved in this new system. Most of them are leaders in the areas they will focus on. Some of them have been our biggest critics. I think they will help to give us a much better focus and help us fix what’s most important to the community as a whole.

  4. Dear ParoxysM, World Community Grid would like to thank you for the 4,261 days of run time and 18,128 results that you have contributed to the efforts of humanitarian research. Our records show that you have not returned a result since October 15, 2006. This can occur if you purchased a new PC and did not install the grid software on that computer or because you encountered some technical difficulties and removed the software. We are sending you this email to encourage you to begin contributing again. They got me...I encountered some technical difficulties and removed the software. I think 11+ years of run time is enough.

  7. PCIe 2.0 aims to offer twice as much bandwidth "PCIe 2.0 will provide faster signalling which doubles the bit rate from 2.5GT/s to 5GT/s. It simply means more bandwidth. Maybe someone could tell us what GT/s stands for."

  8. Mommy? Where do noobs come from? The lifecycle of a noob is a complex, beautiful miracle. Fledgling noobs gestate inside small, biometric pods through a series of complicated photosynthetic processes. Once a budding noob has matured through gestation, they climb out of their pod, sit down at a PC, ask a bunch of questions that are clearly in the FAQ, and voila! The Nooblet is born!

Woman drinks so much water she dies "Jennifer Strange, 28, was found dead Friday in her suburban Rancho Cordova home hours after taking part in the "Hold Your Wee for a Wii" contest in which KDND 107.9 promised a Nintendo Wii video game system for the winner."

Valve boss blows a gasket over PS3 “The PS3 is a total disaster on so many levels, I think It’s really clear that Sony lost track of what customers and what developers wanted,” said Newell. “I’d say, even at this late date, they should just cancel it and do a ‘do over’. Just say, ‘This was a horrible disaster and we’re sorry and we’re going to stop selling this and stop trying to convince people to develop for it.’” Newell reserved special praise for the Wii, which he said would outsell Microsoft’s Xbox 360 by next Christmas.

  12. New Nvidia product speculated Hmmm, lowend 8300 GS ($79) getting 24 shaders, and the 8600 Ultra ($179) getting 64 shaders. Makes for an interesting lineup. For what is worth, ATI is supposedly announcing a full lineup when the R600 is released.
