Hey People, just found your site and figured it would be nice to stop in and say Hi to other Buffalo gamers. I own and run a very popular gaming community called BuffaloBadAsses ( 8 years plus ) we run some of the top Enemy Territory game servers and now also running some Quake Wars and the new Left 4 Dead. We have an international membership and believe it or not, while Buffalo in name, I am the only local member. I am not trying to advertise in any fashion and hopefully am not taken as doing so, just wanted to say Hi and chat with some local folks. Thanks Dave

I have know this for a couple years now. Ubuntu Faster Than Windows XP http://www.itworld.com/small-business/6087...rnet-windows-xp "My Ubuntu machine returned a rating from the Bandwidth.com test of 22-25mbps over several tests. That's darn fast today, faster than normal. Then I did the same test from a Windows XP PC and got results from 12-14mbps. Still fast, but not nearly as fast as the Ubuntu machine." Ubuntu Faster Than Windows XP Feedback http://www.itworld.com/small-business/6101...ows-xp-feedback "The fun really came from the few responders who read my post carefully, tested it themselves, and confirmed my quick and dirty test. Several Sl…

The key feature according to Sony, is the new photo gallery app which allows your digital pictures to be organized by various criteria including the camera used to take the photos, the event date and time, colors in the photos, as well as the number, ages, or facial expressions of the people pictured. Yep, that's right the according to the video, the PS3 will be able to determine the relative age of the people in the photo and whether or not they are smiling. Also included in the release is guest access to the Playstation store for non-Playstation Network members. With this access they'll be able to check out demos, video, etc. Sony will also be adding DivX 3.11 …

Albatron and Galaxy to go ATI "Since Nvidia already limited Albatron to the Asian market only it was easy to be expected that they would start selling ATI." Also Galaxy "The company is part of the big group of graphics world controlling people better known as Palit, and since Palit itself and its branches, including Gainward, are selling ATI based products, it was just natural to see Galaxy ATI based cards." "This is yet another win for ATI sales team. This leaves EVGA and Zotac to remain the only major Nvidia only players." http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?option=c...7&Itemid=38

PS2 Supported Through 2010 "It's a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy; as it continues to sell, development continues, and consumers continue to buy. There's such a wide range of entertainment experiences available that I think it would be very difficult for people to complain, 'this console doesn't have anything that appeals to me'." http://www.neoseeker.com/news/9623-ps2-through-2010/

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2338922,00.asp "Graphics maker Nvidia Corp. said fourth-quarter revenue will decline by up to 50 percent sequentially, due to weakness in end-user demand." Typical nVidia, blame your end-users and not the fact that your products have not kept up for the last year or the fact that you promised Intel to develop drivers for the x38 and x48 chipsets, then gave them the FU right at the last minute. The x38, x48 and x58 can do both ATi Crossfire and nVidia SLi (that was the promise) but nVidia flat out refuses to develop drivers. http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20090...venue-drop.html Recall that Ion is NVIDIA's name…

http://www.pcworld.com/article/156899/stud...nvironment.html "Two Google searches produce the same amount of CO2 as bringing water to a boil on your stovetop, according to research from Harvard University. " "Google doesn't seem to be happy with the negative publicity the latest Harvard research brings. Only hours after the initial publishing, Google posted on their official blog an article explaining how they "have designed and built the most energy efficient data centers in the world," calling Dr. Wissner-Gross's research numbers "many times too high." Google also says that driving a car for a kilometer (0.6 miles) equates to the same amount of CO2 produced…
