GDC: Duke Nukem Forever physics surpass Half-Life 2 "In a short but hugely impressive real-time demo, a room is almost completely demolished using a weapon that fires tennis-ball sized projectiles. In the first section of the demo, glass panels shatter realistically and fragile boxes full of objects suspended from the ceiling are smashed, leaving jagged corners hanging on ropes while the contents smash to the floor."

Console Gamers suck compared to PC Gamers http://www.tgdaily.com/games-and-entertain...ole-gamers-suck "There was a project many many months ago at Microsoft that was under wraps. The goal was to bridge Xbox gamers with PC gamers so they could play against one another in games like Unreal, or Gears of War." Perhaps not unexpectedly, the fluffy console players were "destroyed" every time by their superior PC rivals - so much so that it would be "embarrassing" for the Xbox team had Microsoft launched its clandestine initiative. "During the development they brought together the best console gamers to play mediocre PC gamers at the same game...and guess what h…

Dominos launches Pizza by TXT "Yes, if you get a passion for pepperoni when the pubs throw out, just go to your phone and send a message. Your pizza will then arrive from one of Dominos' 470 outlets just as you've dozed off in the armchair. There are a couple of safeguards - firstly, you'll need to register your full details online beforehand and you'll need to set up a 'favourite meals' list, which you can text to the shop. So texting 'hammered' could lead to a large pizza with extra cheese arriving at your door."

Don't use WEP for Wi-Fi security. German researchers got into a 'protected' network in 60 seconds It takes just three seconds to extract a 104-bit WEP key from intercepted data using a 1.7-GHz Pentium M processor. The necessary data can be captured in less than a minute, and the attack requires so much less computing power than previous attacks that it could even be performed in real time by someone walking through an office.
