Radeon X700 series to launch on 21st "The X700 non XT and non PRO will work at 400/600 MHz and will still end up much faster then Nvidia's Geforce 6600 non GT clocked to a modest 300/500 MHz. Modest? Nvidia? The X700 non XT and non PRO - let's call it Standard - will come with $149 SRP (suggested retail price) as much as the Nvidia 6600 standard card costs. The big difference is that Nvidia cards score 4300 in 3Dmark03 while the ATI card will score as much as the 6000 due to its much faster memory and clock." Considering my 9800 PRO 128Meg scores 5545, it is NICE to see that power officially come in at the $150 price level!!

The items are as follows: a conductive pen, a toothpick, acetone, and manicure. If you are serious about hard modding the X800Pro, use this guide for doing so. It is very reliable and you can be sure your chances of success are high if you follow our instructions closely. You could use a needle or a pin instead of a toothpick, but I would recommend the toothpick because a needle or pin could possibly damage the core."

ATI X800GT's about to be released August 8th is one date that is being bandied about for release in Asia - but don't expect to see them in North America for at least a week or two after that. Initial production is likely to be for the Asian market.

August's BF2 LAN Party Extravaganza Saturday August 20th starting at 2pm This will be a mostly Battlefield 2 LAN party!!
