Its not like the 9800XT was a slouch in that department to begin with! I wonder if its for better Pixel Shader 3.0 performance. Plus an additional 100MHz GPU and an extra 250MHz memory bandwidth.....VROOOOM, VROOOOOM!! On a side note, I see the 9600XT 128Meg going for like $151 on newegg and the 9800 PRO 128Meg for $215.
