He told us that "engineers were aware of this problem" and that they did not have an estimated time of completion. He added that we should continuously point our antennas towards the southern sky for when the signal did come back." :yahoo: hahah, they have not merged yet ... w00t! got Sirius

You're planning to see X-Men: The Last Stand this weekend, right? We expect most of you are. That being the case, apart from our regular reporting on the movie, IGN FilmForce now asks you to do one important thing. If you're an X-Men fan, you'll regret it if you don't! At the theater this weekend, when the credits roll, when the audiences begins to filter out of the exits... keep your seat. Some of us found our new hobby today. Xmods I saw these a long time ago, knew what they were all about but never paid attention to them. I was at Radio Shack getting a new battery for my cell, waiting for the guy helping me to get everything sorted out and I started looking at them. I'm totally hooked and I'm probably going to get one or two or ehm.... anywho. Funny thing is I have a pro rc car that cost 4x as much for just the car and I haven't touched it since I was 12. Nice thing is I can race it around my house (or B.Ob.'s basement ) unlike the other car. So I'll buy one so that I can put it next to my other rc car in a couple months. Dragon

"Implementing a move that's been planned for months, Microsoft will no longer make Windows XP available to large computer makers, such as Dell, Lenovo, or Hewlett-Packard, or to software retailers, after June 30. It will continue to offer the OS to "system builders," that is, small, independent PC makers, through July of next year." "Monday marks XP's last official day on the market after a seven-year run, as Microsoft ceases bulk shipments and retail sales of Windows XP Professional, Home, Media Center, and Tablet PC edition." http://www.informationweek.com/news/window...ion=All+Stories

ATI Radeon Xpress 200G reference board "ATI has shied away from AMD-oriented chipsets for a while, but the recent launch of the Radeon Xpress 200 chipset signalled a change of mind. It also marked ATI's first attempt at a PCI Express chipset. To be honest, ATI has managed to put together quite a tempting package for just about anyone considering an Athlon 64 or Sempron Socket 754 based machine."

Tensilica’s Xtensa LX Processor Licensed by NVIDIA “For the application areas we are targeting, the extensibility and performance of Tensilica’s Xtensa LX microprocessor were key factors in our license decision,” stated Chris Malachowsky, Co-Founder and Vice President of Hardware Engineering, NVIDIA. “We were very impressed with Tensilica’s automated approach for both the processor extensions and the generation of the associated software tools. We are anxious to capitalize on the improved productivity and flexibility that Tensilica’s configurable microprocessor and toolset provides us over our more traditional fixed function, hand-coded implementation techniques.”

Yahoo launches 100MB of free e-mail "Garlinghouse also said the company will put 50 million identities back into circulation. That means identities that have remained dormant for years will become available again. Although Yahoo has maintained a policy that it can recycle user identities after six months of dormancy, the company has taken a "very conservative approach" to offering these names back to the public, Garlinghouse said."

“If Yahoo! locates in Western New York, it would be an eye-opener for many other types of firms to look at us,” Schumer told The Buffalo News. The News reported Saturday that the Sunnyvale, Calif., company six weeks ago reached out to Gov. David A. Paterson’s administration about locating a data center in the state. Schumer, who was in town to give remarks at the University at Buffalo commencement, said he has known about the company’s interest in Western New York. He said he reached out to CEO Carol Bartz with a phone call Friday evening to let her know he will do whatever he can to get the company to locate here. http://www.buffalonews.com/cityregion/st…

AOL to reform customer service after NY probe "Service reps could earn bonuses of tens of thousands of dollars if they could successfully dissuade or "save" half of the people who called to cancel service. Consumer reps were expected to meet minimum retain or save percentages. This led to instances where workers failed to honour cancellations or otherwise made cancellation unduly difficult for consumers. Many consumers complained that AOL personnel ignored their demands to cancel service and stop billing."
