Spent a few good lan sessions with it and so far everyone in our group agrees it sux. I was excited about it too. Its like a hodgepodge of much better games that does a poor job at all the games it tries to mimick. I'd take BF2 over this steamer any day.

Look at Quake 4 "IGN: With Quake II being more story driven and Quake III more multiplayer focused, was there a feeling of "getting back to the original formula" of rampant destruction that made the series? Tim Willits: It was much more of a continuation of Quake II more than anything else - We wanted to create a great single player experience that felt like a Quake style game. You'll find a lot of hard-hitting action in the title. You'll also find squad buddies that fight alongside you as well as vehicles that you can drive. And we also realized that we needed a really good multi-player as well, which is why we wanted to give it more of a Quake III feel rather th…

Nem, <here> man... It's that CPUZ prog I toldya about. You can see if you're running dual-channel in the Memory tab where it says # of channels. It doesn't install and runs independant; furthurmore, I use it for lots of things... CPU Core Speed, FSB and Memory Allocation.

I got to play the Steam beta of R.U.S.E. Over all good game. Still needs some work of course. I personally had trouble getting the hang of pace and build time line. But then I haven't played multi-player RTS in since Company of Heroes first came out. Speaking of which, if you liked C of H you'll probably like this too. It's on a larger map scale, but similar unit scale. 10's of units vs. 100's of units. One of my complaints with the best is one of it's greatest features. Surprise attacks. If your unit gets ambushed, the attacker does extra damage. My issue is if you are on the edge of hidden units range and moving around. You can get ambushed several times…

Here we can link the avatars/call signs to R/L names and make it easier for newer people to get to know everyone better, and for us older timers to just make fun of everyone else. Post your pics, your rigs, your cat, what ever. Keep it clean if you can and have some fun!
