irons Posted April 14, 2010 Share Posted April 14, 2010 (edited) I got to play the Steam beta of R.U.S.E. Over all good game. Still needs some work of course. I personally had trouble getting the hang of pace and build time line. But then I haven't played multi-player RTS in since Company of Heroes first came out. Speaking of which, if you liked C of H you'll probably like this too. It's on a larger map scale, but similar unit scale. 10's of units vs. 100's of units. One of my complaints with the best is one of it's greatest features. Surprise attacks. If your unit gets ambushed, the attacker does extra damage. My issue is if you are on the edge of hidden units range and moving around. You can get ambushed several times, from the same unit in the same spot several times within a minute or less. Outside of that, the mechanics are pretty solid. Keep your out for this one. If you get a shot @ a beta or demo it is worth the time!
