Looks like the Nintendo Wii comes out November 19, 2006 @ $250 in the US!! 11.19.2006 "Bundled with the hardware, Wii Sports delivers a natural, intuitive and realistic feel to five different sports. Play Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Bowling and Boxing in the comfort of one's living room. No ball boys scurrying about, no oil from the alleys to get players dirty and no rain to keep anyone from a day at the court, park or course. Use the Wii Remote controller to mimic the actions of swinging a racket, bat or club, roll a ball down an alley or bring the left jab." Wii Preview video

Live from Nintendo's Wii launch in New York "We're hanging out at Toys "R" Us Times Square this evening, getting all ready for a bazillion people to get their respective Wii on. As of 9PM the line is already mind boggling, but the word is Toys "R" Us is stocked with 5,000 7,000 of the dang things for the launch, so there are going to be a lot of people going home happy this evening. Keep watching this space for more of the action as it unfolds, and make sure to peep the pics after the break."

Hi - anyone have any leads on what retail stores may be getting more Wii's this weekend or next week? Target told me they get shipments throughout the day, but a worker told me they only put them out in the morning. Anyone know anyone who works in a retail store that may know when shipments usually come? Thanks and good luck!

Wii-diculous "One of my friends is a manager at a local movie theater, which uses a digital projector to show advertisements between features. After seeing the It Burns When I Wii video, we figured we could one-up it with the equivalent of a 344" television screen. We wanted to use my friend's Nintendo Wii in the theater, but we didn't want to have to deal with yards of cabling. Inspired by doctabu's design, I built my own wireless sensor bar for less than $20. Doctabu left out something important; a resistor, which is needed to limit the current to the LEDs."

The Wii's Wild Controller 1. The Set-Up An accelerometer consists of a silicon weight—less than one millionth of a gram—connected to a chip by minuscule springs. When you hold the controller still, the weight sits equidistant between sets of silicon plates. A current running through the weight sends equal voltages to all plates.
