ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe Board “VoodooPC is known for using only the fastest and most reliable equipment on the market with our PCs. The ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe is exactly what we look for in our systems, and it echoes very well with our image. It’s stable, but most importantly it blows the doors off the competition in performance and features,” said Rahul Sood, President and CTO of VoodooPC.

Nvidia signs Intel bus licence deal "Nvidia has finally won a frontside bus licence from Intel, paving the way at long last for the graphics chip specialist to release versions of its nForce chipset family for Pentium 4 processors. Intel's permission comes on the back of a "broad, multi-year patent cross-license agreement spanning multiple product lines and product generations", the two companies announced today."

ATI Radeon X700 XT / PRO Review "Rather than being based on R300, RV410's architecture is taken from R420 which results in X700 having longer pixel shader instruction capabilities and 3Dc normal map compression. The memory bus is also based on the new programmable memory bus from R420, which allows for much higher memory clock rates than any R300 based part, thus enabling X700 to utilise higher performance memory, making up a little for the lack of 256-bit memory bus." "If one of X700's goals was to bring last years high end performance down to a mainstream price then, for the most part they've succeeded with the X700 XT outperforming the 9800 PRO in most graphic…

nForce 4 board pictured "We are proud to share one of the first pictures of MSI Nforce 4 motherboard. You will notice that board has only one chip covered with active cooler, PCIe 16X slot and two PCIe 1X slots, four PCI slots where one is possibly 266 MB/s fast, four memory slots, marvels eight SATA ports four of them controlled or helped by silicon image chip. The board still has two IDE channels and a floppy connector. A Via chip in front of PCIe 16X slot was one of the things that created a nice smile on my face. What an irony."

Hi all, This is a mini review of an Athlon 64 3000+ & Asus K8v. Other specs. Integrated sound. 1 gig BH-5 memory 9700 pro. It is faster would I say OMG no but it is faster than my 3200+ XP. Some basic benches from the distrusted 3dMark series- 2001se 3200XP - 16,300 2001se 3000-64 18,164 11% faster 2003 3200XP - 4400 2003 3000-64 - 5600 22% faster I have other benches however as this is informal I do not have them right now. I will also say far cry is definetly faster by a lot. Having two RAID controllers on the board is weird. I do not see the point even though you could always say the more the better. The one …

VisionTek Xtasy X800 Pro review "Offering 475 MHz core/450 MHz memory clocks, and using a new 420 series core, and GDDR3 memory, the x800 Pro is a proven performer just on paper compared to the 9800 series, or anything else for that matter. It makes me wonder where is nVidia? With VisionTek's gesture of offering a full retail version of the x800 Pro no more than 14 days after the 6800 series of nVidia cards were paper-launched makes you really wonder which card will be your first buying decision, and that should be fairly easy. With the majority of us new x800 Pro owners enjoying the power of our new cards, the nVidia boys will be trying to play catch-up with their in…

On Tom's Hardware article on Networld+Interop 2004 Las Vegas Show Report - Wrap Up, from this page but it starts here! "ASUS also showed a wide line of switches including unmanaged, "smart" (VLAN, port control and QoS tagging) and fully-managed layer 2 and 3 switches in various combinations of 10/100 and 10/100/1000 port configurations. Its "smart" and managed models include quick-change fan modules, rack-mounting kits and dual-power capability. The mounting kit includes a simple, but robust post-and-hole feature that keeps switches from plummeting to the bottom of a rack if the mounting screws vibrate loose. On the low end of things, ASUS is trying to escape the fast…

Looks like nVidia is back in the high-end chipset game with their new nForce3 250Gb chipset for the Athlon64!! Here is a blurb from AnandTech.com: "nVidia is very proud of their on-chip implementation of Gigabit LAN. The concept is very similar to Intel's CSA bus, which was introduced with the Intel 875 chipset, in that it moves communications off the slower PCI to a faster bus. However, nVidia carries the concept even further by implementing their Gigabit LAN on the single-chip nForce3-250GB. This removes the 1Gb LAN from all buses and allows performance at the internal speed of the chip." ~~drool~~ "nVidia has tried to address these types of security risks wit…
