  3. ripped from BeyondUnreal:"The first volume of the long-awaited UT2004 Community Bonus Pack 2 has been released! The first volume of the pack contains a whopping 21 new maps, four new characters and a new mutator, created by some of the most talented members of the Unreal community. Note that this is just the first volume of the CBP. The second volume will be released next Thursday, May 17th, and will feature more all-new content that wasn't quite ready in time for the deadline. It's also been revealed that the CBP team will soon be releasing an official UT2004 version of the original UT2003 Community Bonus Pack, released last year." <-- I think they mean May 27th. …

Epic Games sends news that the dedicated server for Unreal Tournament 2004 is now available, just in time for the retail release of the multiplayer shooter sequel. The download is available from http://download.fasterfiles.com/files/UT20...catedServer.zip These files allow anyone to run a dedicated UT2004 server, even if they do not own a retail copy of UT2004. Once installed, it will occupy around 2.0 GB of disk space, significantly smaller than the 5.5GB required for a retail installation. Server admins wanting to advertise their server to the official master server list, and be included in UT2004 stats will require a dedicated server key. Go to http://unreal.epicga…

  11. Download here. "This compilation began as a small project. A few of the Unreal community's best level designers got together to release a small pack of their best work to the community. As the time went on, the project grew into something far more significant, with more and more of the best Unreal talent out there joining the team. The map count went from a small handful to a fully-fledged professional-level bonus pack. With all this pack now complete, the team has decided to work on a number of future projects together to produce high quality work that will get noticed throughout the design community." I'll download it, but since I lost *growl* my key (and box fo…

So what is everyone's opinion of the demo?! I was surprised how much smaller they made all the power ups, which gives it less of the Fisher-Price look that 2k3 had. Some of the weapons have a old-skewl look to them which was refreshing. They seemed to taken more time in balancing the weapons, so I don't feel completely naked with just the hand gun, or bio rifle.

I caught this on one of the sites: Steve Polge - "We'll be announcing what's happening next with Unreal Tournament at E3. Don't worry, any new UT related products shipping in the next 18 months will be compatible with UT2003, and so will serve to extend the life of the platform your mod is built on rather than replacing it." Mark Rein - "If there were going to be a UT2004 it would be fully backward compatible with 2003 so mod makers wouldn't have to worry about that. But that's all I can say for now " Hmmmmmmm.....
