The key feature according to Sony, is the new photo gallery app which allows your digital pictures to be organized by various criteria including the camera used to take the photos, the event date and time, colors in the photos, as well as the number, ages, or facial expressions of the people pictured. Yep, that's right the according to the video, the PS3 will be able to determine the relative age of the people in the photo and whether or not they are smiling. I haven't kept up much with the newer hardware, so I need some help. I need ideas and suggestions for building a good gaming machine within the $400-$500 range. Of course I use it for surfing, downloading music, video, mild application use, but these are negligable as I could just pickup a p3 for $100 if I didn't game. I have a sweet 19-inch LCD with DVI-I support, so a sweet video card of course :/ pricewatch, tigerdirect, and others for the parts...what'd you guys think about ebay? Nemesis reminded me to make sure there are warranties if I do the ebay thing. thanks for any help you guys can give, kevin

Huge Success! Portal 2 Confirmed "On tonight's episode of X-Play, lead designer for Portal, Kimberly Swift, confirmed that there will be a Portal 2. This is pretty much a given as Doug Lombardi, Valve's Director of Marketing, had previously stated that "more Portal is definitely on the way." I have to say that I've been very upset with Sony in the way they've been handling the PS3 with it's obnoxious price-point & was only too happy to see this announcement... Sony considers a PS3 pricecut The best part is, I've been expecting this to happen, so I'm only to happy to hear about this. If Sony does "suck it up" & lowers their price on the PS3, then they'll be able to get back into the game. As it is, they aren't moving the units they thought they would & most of them are collecting dust @ Retailers while the other consoles are selling like crazy. I wanted to benchmark my UT2K4 demo, but it didn't come with the necessary files in the \Benchmark folder, so I copied over the files from UT2K3 and modified for my needs. The linked file has all the components to perform the benchmark, so we can compare.
