I've been playing for the past 2 weeks off about every other evening, mainly focusing on getting badges/ribbons...Im upto a Staff Sergeant currently. It has become frustrating that I have not received some that have multiple requirements. I noticed that various stats sites will put a checkmark next to one of the fullfilled requirements, so you know you have that part and can work on getting the remainder. Well, what I didnt realize (until yesterday) is that you have to get some of them in a certain order...generally the opposite of the way listed on the page (bastards). For example, to get the Legion of Merit ribbon you need: IAR 50 teamscore points 200 global hours…

Windows NT 4 support to come at price in '05 "Microsoft is offering up to two years of custom support to companies still using the OS when Microsoft ceases its extended support for the program at the end of 2004. The company has decided to expand the for-free program to cover more security issues. Microsoft is now pledging to offer fixes for vulnerabilities rated either as "critical" or "important." Previously, the software maker had only committed to fixing critical flaws." Not that I use this OS anymore, but I still love how little RAM is required for it!!

For SunRocket victims (er, customers) If you're one of those unfortunate folks who found yourself unexpectedly without telephone service upon SunRocket's sudden demise, the good news is that other VoIP providers are eager for your business and some are offering discounts or special terms to former SunRocket customers. Teleblend has a discounted rate of $12.95 per month for the duration of your SunRocket contract; Packet8 will give you a month of free service and no startup costs, as will Lingo. Vonage tops that with two months of free service and a waiver of activation and shipping fees. http://www.vonage.com/sunrocket.php

Exclusive Interview with Epics Tim Sweeny on Unreal-Engine-3 and UT 3 PCGH: Can UT 3 be played with full detail on a single core machine? Tim Sweeney: You can play UT3 at any detail level on any machine; the dependent variable is the frame rate! If you have a fast GPU (and thus aren't GPU-bound), then you'll notice significant performance gains going from a single-core PC to a dual-core PC, and incremental improvements in going to quad-core, at a constant clock rate.
