Hey all, Lapres and XFCJ have found some cool games waiting to be greenlighted on Steam. I went to the site to make a donation so I can receive them now. The site is http://groupees.com/bagb2 and it it recommended to get "Mini Racers Street" and "Darkspot". The racing one is like the Micro Machines game from way back and the Darkspot is like Terraria meets Silent Hill! That is all, now go get the game(s)! The proceeds go to help a sick kid! and these look like they could be good LAN party games! (as the mini racers one supports 12 in MP!)

HOW TO - Posted and Pinned in this thread To be posted and pinned in this thread please post your event and all details in the "When & Where is the NEXT LAN Party?!?!" Thread. Once this has been done, please PM myself or one of the other admins asking to have your LAN Party moved to the "LAN Party Spectaculars" Section. From there we will determine if your LAN belongs in this section (mainly by the size and location of the LAN). If the staff feels that it fits in this section it will move and pinned. Thanks WNYG Staff

Marvell makes ultrasmall wall plug computer The idea is to make make high-performance, ultracompact and green computer that you can plug right into a wall power socket and let it be on all the time thanks to its ultralow power consumption. According to Marvel, the SheevaPlug draws less than one tenth of the power of a typical PC being used as a home server. Though very much similar to a Powerline adapter in shape and size, the SheevaPlug computer contains a gigahertz class processor to offer PC-like performance. The current model uses a Marvell Kirkwood processor running at 1.2GHz, is equipped with 512 MB of Flash storage and 512MB DRAM and connects to a netw…

http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10414903-1.html At only 9.5mm, the regular 2.5-inch laptop hard drive is already very thin compared with the 25.4mm of the 3.5-inch desktop hard drive. But Seagate, one of the bigger hard-drive makers around, just decided to go even slimmer. The company announced Monday the Momentus Thin, a new 2.5-inch-based laptop hard drive that's 25 percent thinner, at only 7mm.

First off the starting blocks will be ATi's Radeon HD 5800 series of cards (starting with the HD 5850 and 5870), which should be hitting stores as early as next month. Nvidia's first line of DX11 cards - the GT300 range - will follow in December. Suddenly, my 8800 GT doesn't look so trusty anymore. http://kotaku.com/5350558/here-come-the-fi...irectx-11-cards http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20090901PD204.html DIGITIMES Nvidia and AMD readying for DirectX 11 Monica Chen, Taipei; Joseph Tsai, DIGITIMES [Tuesday 1 September 2009] Nvidia and AMD are preparing to launch their latest DirectX 11 supporting GPUs in the second half o…

USB 3.0 start to appear, sort of "USB 3.0 hasn't yet been fully completed but it's implementation could come more quickly than its predecessor's did. Vendors are already starting to prepare their computer hardware for the new bus standard. Today, for example, we saw an upcoming Asus notebook with a pair of USB 3.0 ports. Well, sort of. The ports are actually rated as USB 2.0 devices and didn't appear to have the extra pins required by the new version of the bus. However, the spaces where those pins will go were clearly present."

Radeon 3870 X2 works at 825MHz "ATI dared to clock two RV670 chips to over 775MHz, and it realized that its dual slot cooler can cool this chip all the way to 825MHz. This is the current clock of Radeon 3870 X2, but some partners might clock it a bit faster. This is the minimal clock of the card. ATI clocked it at over 800MHz in order to break one Teraflop, and this will be the first card to do that, while Nvidia’s Geforce 9800 GX2 will be the second to go over this mark." HD3870X2 delayed, benchmarked "AMD HAS riled world+dog by back the date on the 3870X2 launch. NDA’d for today, the twin engine graphics card was supposed to shock and awe consumers a…
