Hi people. Sorry for only posting in lieu of Fighter oriented announcements, but it's all our group plays... We are trying to get some regional tournament action going around our parts parts. This will be a multi-game tournament, run quickly and efficiently by me and my staff. All tournaments will begin promptly on time, and be double elim- randomized brackets via software. It will probably start off small, but I hope to make this at least a semi-annual occurrence, once I can get some hype up. Anyone wanting to come, let me know via the various threads, on various forums. Or pm me if you need specific info or crash space. Location: University of Buffalo- …

Save Money: Turn Off Your PS3 After Use! The NRDC’s study found that Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii machines in the U.S. use about as much electricity in a year as every home in San Diego combined. Much of the energy comes from machines that are left on, but not in use, the NRDC said. Of the three consoles, Sony’s PS3 was the biggest energy hog, followed by Microsoft’s Xbox 360. Nintendo’s Wii is by far the most energy efficient—and even uses less electricity than its predecessor, GameCube. http://www.businessweek.com/innovate/games...rvationist.html

PS2 Supported Through 2010 "It's a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy; as it continues to sell, development continues, and consumers continue to buy. There's such a wide range of entertainment experiences available that I think it would be very difficult for people to complain, 'this console doesn't have anything that appeals to me'." http://www.neoseeker.com/news/9623-ps2-through-2010/

The key feature according to Sony, is the new photo gallery app which allows your digital pictures to be organized by various criteria including the camera used to take the photos, the event date and time, colors in the photos, as well as the number, ages, or facial expressions of the people pictured. Sega Teams With Rebellion For New Aliens vs. Predator Title Announced at a Sega press event in London today, prepare to welcome Aliens vs. Predator (only a working title, but you get the gist), which marks the triumphant return of developer Rebellion. A decade ago, they created a game with this same title; a game Sega is now calling "a legendary title that went on to define an entire generation of multiplayer gaming." Details on this new project are a little hazy, but from what we can gather, it's definitely part of the Aliens and AvP series of games.

Massive outage hits XM Radio "We called up XM technical support and it was apparent that the customer service representative was reading from a script. He told us that "engineers were aware of this problem" and that they did not have an estimated time of completion. He added that we should continuously point our antennas towards the southern sky for when the signal did come back." :yahoo: hahah, they have not merged yet ... w00t! got Sirius

With all the talk about HDTV I figured I would see what ppl think about HD vs. Satellite Radio. I happen to have a HD and (2) Satellite recievers and they are all pretty kewl. The one thing they need to added to HD radio that my sat receivers have is a recording feature with a rewind so you can listen to a song you like again and also song and game score alerts that tell me when a song or artist I like is on another channel and allows me to press a button and switch to that channel a few secs before the song starts and what the score of sporting events are with out having to listen to the whole game or even having to change the channel. One of the big advanages of Sat rad…
