ATI: Expect DirectX 11 and 40 nm GPUs in 2009 DX11 is expected to bring several substantial advancements over DX10, including the introduction of Shader Model 5.0, as well as GPGPU support and multithreading support, both of which are essential for the graphics industry and the myriad of multi-core graphics cards that exist today. This FPS/RPG game looks rather sweet & it's on sale from 7/30 - 8/6 for just $17.99 It offers Co-Op as well as Multiplayer, there's a TON of customization to it, here's the LINK The game looks like it's a combo of Half-Life 2, DEUS EX & Fallout BUT on some major steroids & for a lesser cost, can't go too wrong with that! I plan on grabbing this game... should be alot of fun @ a LAN... Co-Op & Multiplayer. -- Nem

A large number of 1700+ chips are unlocked up to 12.5 multiplier and run fine @ 133FSB or higher. Just upgraded an older 950Mhz Duron system with one of these chips from newegg.com for $42 plugged in and set it up 12.5 * 133FSB 1.666Mhz with no problems, can not go any higher as the system only has SDRAM. CPU is running @ 40c which is right in line with the speed. I have seen others run these chips @ 12.5 * 166Mhz 2075Mhz and 10 * 215 FSB 2150Mhz on newer boards without a hitch. AMD XP 1700+ Link There is alot of info about these chips on the web. Anyone looking for a cheap fast upgrade (no formating required) might want pick up one of these CPUs.
