Nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2 Review - Tom's Hardware.com "Having said this, we do not recommend buying a GeForce 9800 GX2 for those who rarely change graphic cards and want to invest in a very high end card and keep it for a long time. There are times when a card like this should excel, like in higher resolution and with demanding settings, but the 9800 GX2 is barely better than a simple GeForce 8800 Ultra. The blame, just like on the 3870 X2, is on the amount of memory being limited to only 512 MB, a quantity incompatible with the very high resolutions and even more with antialiasing. Numbers speak for themselves, when the 9800 GX2 out performs the 8800 Ultra (with 768 MB…

Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX Review - Toms Hardware.com "Nvidia GeForce 9800 GTX: A card that's almost as fast as the 8800 Ultra at a much lower price is a good thing. But a year and a half after the release of the GeForce 8 series, and even though AMD doesn't really have anything that can go head to head with this card, we'd have liked a little more punch to replace the 8800 GTX with (which is also now being sold for under $400). What we got instead was a card that's very noisy under load and limited by a stingy 512 MB of memory. These drawbacks are especially disappointing given that the 8800 GTS 512 MB is very similar and less expensive." GeForce 9800 GTX and 3-way …

Here come the 9600GT specs "The funniest part is that they have a slide that says "116% Faster!!!", and immediately follow it with "Single Largest Generational Performance Increase in our History", in green no less. Does anyone else read this as them admitting that the 8600 sucked? Hint: it did."

This might not be completely new, but seems to be the #1 kick ass sound card on the planet. I have spent alot of time on the creative forums and this seems like the card to own for a new rig, a 3rd party company finally does xFi right, since Creative could not, even includes the 64Mb of X-RAM and they do there own custom drivers and software. http://www.auzentech.com/site/products/x-fi_prelude.php

Nvidia's VP says the CPU is dead "There are no more lies and no more cold war between Intel and Nvidia. Surprisingly, Nvidia just started a full-scale frontal attack on the biggest semiconductor company in the world that we all know as Intel. ... There will be more let us just gather a few more things about this first attack. I am sure that Intel works hard on its counterattack and it probably won’t take any prisoners." More on Nvidia vs. Intel verbal warfare "Huang claims how Intel's integrated solutions are "a joke," and goes on by saying that even if Intel manages to increase their integrated graphics tenfold by 2010, that still won’t be enough to beat Nv…

ASUS Creates Upgradeable Graphics Cards "The vision of upgradeable graphic cards goes back to the late 1990s, when Micron Technology was experimenting with removable sockets. In 2006, both MSI and Gigabyte showcased upgradeable graphic cards, but their concepts, which were based on GeForce Go MXM boards, never took off. Earlier this year, Asus introduced a single board with three MXM slots for ATI Mobility Radeon 3850 or 3870 cards (upgradeable with future parts), and has now unveiled its single-MXM product."
