Auzen X-FI Prelude 7.1 soundcard

Recommended Posts

This might not be completely new, but seems to be the #1 kick ass sound card on the planet. I have spent alot of time on the creative forums and this seems like the card to own for a new rig, a 3rd party company finally does xFi right, since Creative could not, even includes the 64Mb of X-RAM and they do there own custom drivers and software.

Looks promising. I will have to keep that on my short list when I do another new rig.

hmmmm

"The Xonar's Oxygen HD audio chip wasn't designed for PCI Express, so Asus uses a bridge chip from PLX to adapt it to the PCIe interface. This bridge chip appears to conflict with motherboards based on Nvidia's latest nForce chipsets, though. We couldn't get the Xonar detected in a motherboard based on the nForce 790i SLI reference design, with the Vista device manager reporting problems with a PCI-to-PCI Express bridge. "
