http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10414903-1.html At only 9.5mm, the regular 2.5-inch laptop hard drive is already very thin compared with the 25.4mm of the 3.5-inch desktop hard drive. But Seagate, one of the bigger hard-drive makers around, just decided to go even slimmer. The company announced Monday the Momentus Thin, a new 2.5-inch-based laptop hard drive that's 25 percent thinner, at only 7mm.

Intel and Micron Double Flash Storage Capacity http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/arti...meter_nand.html The 25nm process produces 8 gigabytes (GB) of storage in a single NAND device, creating a high-capacity storage solution for today's tiny consumer gadgets. It measures just 167mm2 -- small enough to fit through the hole in the middle of a compact disc (CD), yet packs more than 10 times the data capacity of that CD (a standard CD holds 700 megabytes of data)."

I am too much of a Camaro fan not to share this when I saw it on Newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856502001 They also come with the Intel Atom. I kind of wish they made a "Z28" version that used a i7 with a H50 cooler with the radiator in the front like a car radiator.

Western Digital ships the industry's first serial ATA (SATA) 3TB internal hard drive http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9191781/Western_Digital_ships_highest_capacity_SATA_hard_drive The WD Caviar Green 2.5TB and 3TB hard drives run at 5400 RPMs and are designed for use as secondary external storage systems and internal desktop drives in 64-bit systems, meaning the drives will not work with older operating systems like the still widely-used Windows XP. Newer operating systems, such as Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Mac OS X do support 4K drive sectors. Linux-based systems require Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) firmware to run the new drives. Mos…

Looking to get these when they come out later this year. I would like 7.1 for Battlefield 3 more then any other game coming out. http://www.razerzone.com/tiamat/en/features They seem pretty tight, and I don't have to worry about wonky "virtual" 5.1/7.1 sound, without analog 3.5 mm connectors straight into ione's sound card, they hardly ever work.
