PurSuiT
To remove the movies that play on startup and can't be ESC'd through: Go to [bFV Folder]\Movies Rename any movies you do not want. The default movies are: Dice.bik EA.bik Intro.bik Legal.bik ------------------------------------------------ Add/Change the following line/s in the videodefault.con may help with video lag and FPS: renderer.allowAIIRefreshRates 1 renderer.globalLodRadiusScaleFactor 6 renderer.use.TrilinearFiltering 0 renderer.extrapolateframe 0 Try these one at a time, the first two made the most amount of difference for me. ------------------------------------------------ Try turning off "Lightmaps" from the in-game menu ------------------------------------------------ To see your framerates in the game, pull down console (~ key) and type: console.showfps 1 ------------------------------------------------ If you are using EAX and your sound is choppy, disable it altogether and use MilesFast 2 sound driver until EA makes a patch for EAX. Guest Major_Chaos
rename them to what? and how do you change those lines in videodefault.con?
PurSuiT
rename them to what? and how do you change those lines in videodefault.con? Rename to .old or what ever you would like and the .con files are just plain text files that can be edited through notepad, they are equivalent to .ini files for battlefield. You shouldn't have much of an issue though with a 9800Pro
B.Ob.
rename them to what? and how do you change those lines in videodefault.con? rename them with a .TKer extension.... If you double click on the .com files, it should ask you what to Open them with, just choose Notepad.

B.Ob.
Adding to the sig theory... Is anyone besides me surprised that BFV requires (not recommends) a GeForce3 or higher!
Wargasm
Thats only for people using that inferior line of G-force video...At lease Nvidia makes decent bridge chips. I'll have to install BFV on the other PC to see how the RadeonVE handles it, with only 32meg DDR vram I think I got a winner here....children under 18 not admitted! BFV secret weapon
