PurSuiT Posted April 24, 2007 Share Posted April 24, 2007 They are talking about how Intel is letting other manufactures make chips (CPU's) for thier sockets and mother boards, only reason they stop was to try and slow AMD and try and force them to make thier own chipsets and boards. Now Intel wants to open the socket/fsb back up to get new CPU manufactures to take the low end mainly server market (in my opion) away from AMD. Although AMD already does have something going around the integrated cpu/gpu that would let other companines develope dedicated cores to go into an AMD socket.... Intel still is following AMD....
