Intel opens up its front side bus to the world+dog

ONE OF THE MOST significant things Intel is doing this IDF is going unnoticed by many.

It took a friendly fellow pointing it out to open our eyes to the biggest bombshell of the show. Intel is opening up the front side bus (FSB).

They are talking about how Intel is letting other manufactures make chips (CPU's) for thier sockets and mother boards, only reason they stop was to try and slow AMD and try and force them to make thier own chipsets and boards. Now Intel wants to open the socket/fsb back up to get new CPU manufactures to take the low end mainly server market (in my opion) away from AMD.

Last time I saw a non-Intel chip in an Intel socket goes back to the 486 days.... Although AMD already does have something going around the integrated cpu/gpu that would let other companines develope dedicated cores to go into an AMD socket.... Intel still is following AMD.... B)

This is it!! - AMD Torrenza
