  1. What a sick mind. Makes me never want to go to church. These People Must Be Blond !!!!! In case you needed further proof that the human race is doomed through stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods. On a Sears hairdryer: "Do not use while sleeping." (Gee, that's the only time I have to work on my hair.) On a bag of Fritos: "You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside. (The shoplifter special.) On a bar of Dial soap: "Directions: Use like regular soap." (And that would be how...?) On some Swann frozen dinners: "Serving suggestion: Defrost." (But it's just a suggestion.) On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom of box): "Do not turn upside down." (Too Late!) On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding: "Product will be hot after heating." (As night follows the day...) On packaging for a Rowenta iron: "Do not iron clothes on body." (But wouldn't this save even more time?) On Boot's Children's Cough Medicine: "Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication." (We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we could just get those 5-year-olds with head colds off those forklifts.) On Nytol Sleep Aid: "Warning: May cause drowsiness." (One would hope.) On most brands of Christmas lights: "For indoor or outdoor use only." (As opposed to what?) On a Japanese food processor: "Not to be used for the other use." (I gotta admit, I'm curious.) On Sainsbury's peanuts: "Warning: contains nuts." (Talk about a news flash.) On an American Airlines packet of nuts: "Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts." (Step 3: Fly Delta.) On a child's Superman costume: "Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly." (I don't blame the company. I blame parents for this one.) On a Swedish chain saw: "Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals." (Was there a spate of this happening somewhere? My God!)
  2. Thats for sure. Thats why Gateway and Dell are still in business...not to mention AOL Then again, Adelphia doesnt let you guys fix things like we did for Verizon, its cheaper for them to 'pass the buck'
  3. Maybe they'll get passed that issue with the new HDTV's. Of course, that means we all will have to buy new TV's, or just channel the cable signal thru the monitor. It will be a few years before HDTV's are in a reasonable price range....but PC projectors are getting cheaper. That might be the way to go.
  4. It would be interesting to see of they finally got the 'TV out' feature working properly. I haven't seen one that worked like I expected it to. TV output always seems screwed up. Size is wrong, so the desktop moves up and down the screen, focus is off and there is no way to adjust it, you wind up with a blurry, low rez picture on the TV. If you make it your primary video, and set everything for the TV out, then your monitor is screwed up, and the TV pic is still blurry. You can cure that to a point with the TV controls, then you have to set it back for your cable box. For that price, I sure hope they cured that issue. TV out should be an additional, usable feature, not one or the other. At least thats been my experience with the 6 or 7 I've tried using SVID, RCA and coax connections
  5. Hey Chaos, sound like you need a bigger dog. A friend of mine used to breed pitbulls... I could try to locate him.
  6. Three Blondes were driving to Disneyland. After being in the car for four hours they finally saw a sign that said "Disneyland Left" so they turned around and went home :bonk: The blond was at the blood bank and sold a pint of blood. As she was leaving counting her $25, a man was leaving counting his money. He had $40. She asked if he had some rare blood type that he got more than she did. He said no, that he had donated sperm. The next day the blond was back at the blood bank. The receptionist asked if she was there to donate blood. The blond could only shake her head, as her cheeks were bulging. :rotfl:
  7. Whats this Nem? Thats it?....just trying to bring up his number of post's. A cop saw a car weaving all over the road and pulled it over. He walked up to the car and saw a nice-looking blonde woman behind the wheel. There was a strong smell of liquor on her breath. He said, "I'm going to give you a breathalyzer test to determine if you are under the influence of alcohol." She blew up the balloon and he walked it back to the police car. After a couple of minutes, he returned to her car and said, "It looks like you've had a couple of stiff ones." She turned red, and replied, "You mean it shows that, too?"
  8. The blonde walks into a pharmacy and asks the assistant for some bottom deodorant. The pharmacist, a little bemused, explains to the woman that they don't sell bottom deodorant, and never have. Unfazed, the blonde assures the pharmacist that she has been buying the stuff from this store on a regular basis, and would like some more. "I'm sorry," says the pharmacist, "we don't have any." "But I always get it here," says the blonde. "Do you have the container it comes in?" "Yes!" said the blonde, "I will go and get it." She returns with the container and hands it to the pharmacist who looks at it and says to her, "This is just a normal stick of underarm deodorant." The annoyed blonde snatches the container back and reads out loud from the container, "To apply, push up bottom." :rotfl:
  9. Just to break the sex joke monotony tommy - Father? dad - What is it son tommy - Is there a christian flea? dad - What on earth put that idea into your head? tommy - The preacher read today from the bible "The wicked flee when no man pursueth" dad - That just means that the wicked men flee tommy - Oh, is there a wicked woman flea? dad - No, no. It means that the wicked flee's, runs away tommy - Why do they run? dad - Who? tommy - The wicked flea's dad - No tommy, it means that the wicked man run's when no man is after him. tommy - Oh...is there a woman after him? dad - Tommy, go to bed
  10. Thats pretty cool....looks like it took a while. I'd deffinately want to try it on an old case panel before digging into my Antec case panel....and to think I was planning to get one of those window panels for it. This seems like a better idea, and I've got a dremel tool with all kinds of bits....I dont think its ever been used. :rotfl:
  11. IF you cant say UT, you'll have to bring your own table....we'll set you up in the driveway :rotfl: You may want to bring a big umbrella too, in case it rains, some sunscreen in case is doesnt....Maybe we should try this at the beach
  12. Yea, but it looks like you'll be waiting a few years. Theyre talking about something that isn't on the market yet. Even the X800 Radeons only have 256meg. Its nice that theyre expecting all of us to get new vid cards just to play theyre next release of the game. It will probably require a 4ghz processor, 6ghz recommended. Somehow I dont see that game selling too many copies. :rotfl: Min requirements - more than you have Recommended - not available yet, wait a few years :bump:
  13. Thats only for people using that inferior line of G-force video...At lease Nvidia makes decent bridge chips. I'll have to install BFV on the other PC to see how the RadeonVE handles it, with only 32meg DDR vram I think I got a winner here....children under 18 not admitted! BFV secret weapon
  14. I havent had trouble with show vendors. Theyre usually fairly local vendors from real computer stores. I didnt have trouble returning memory that didnt work or exchanging a bad hdd. I usually can almost match the best prices on Pricewatch at the computer show...I just never expected to have to double check the basic assembly. I replaced the caps, but the board still wont post. The AC getting thru where it should have been DC must have burned out some of the more sensitive circuits. Cant really tell without an O-scope
  15. Looks like we almost arrived at the Jetson's era. Seems like a neet idea, but their ad sucks. They spent all that time making a flash animation that doesnt tell you anything about the product. How about seeing it in action?....or maybe its just another expensive toy that breaks on the first day......batteries not included. :dork:
  16. That Sunbeam acrylic case looks neat....but you clik on the image to get a better view and the pick grows almost 1/2 inch. Not very helpful.
  17. Its AC/DC, I think its 'Strove me stokely'...not sure I got the name right, but thats the loop....or it could be Highway to Hell. Same beat, same chords, etc... Like most ACDC songs, it took about 30 seconds to learn the guitar part....than I think I lost interest. :bump:
  18. Yea, I think you shoud wait for the patch patch :rotfl: Patch note - This patch fixes the errors created by the last patch
  19. I've got a blue orb here somewhere...I dont think I used it, but I'm not sure. Got a super mini orb too, I think I stuck on that old celeron 300a, which means its mounted on a board in a cardboard box. I dont know if I even have a PS for it, since I think its an AT pwr connector. I need to dig all those old boards out of my closet and see whats there. I got some old chips too, maybe we could make a display. A couple 486DX2's, Pentium 60(skt 4) and 166(preMMX), Celeron300A, P2/350...I think thats all my intel cpu's. Theyre almost antiques now. Good for a newbie who wants to learn how to build a computer.
  20. I dont think I ever checked the ram on my 9000. Were you able to find the right fan to replace it? The little ones you find on the studio's removable HDD sleeves were tough to find, and not cheap...till I decided to get the $10 HDD cooler and salvage the fans. They have 3. Beats paying $10-$12 a pop. Dragon, I'll find out if any of them are supposed to work the show. I imagine tkts wont be cheap. Maybe they'll be shorthanded, and I can get in to work the show myself, though that would usually be a last minute deal. Do you know how much tkts are?
  21. UT Someone should try to drag Buckner in too....I still owe him a few good frags.
  22. I was a little concerned when reading the new ATI specs about their choice of Samsung RAM, since its been my experience that Samsung pruducts have a life expectance of under 18 months, so I asked them about it. Response - As this time samsung is the only company offering DDR3. You will get a 3 year warranty with your product for parts. So your card can be replaced within that time period After 3yrs, I'm sure that card would be in our 2nd or 3rd PC's, not our game systems. :bump:
  23. Wargasm

    Patches

Your paid when we let you frag us at Lan parties.......you didnt really think you were that good, did you? :dork:
  24. What we really need is some form of gravity control outside the screen. When you pull a 4G turn in your F16, you really feel it..... Then again, maybe thats not such a good idea with pizza and beer being consumed
