Chrismas Posted March 4, 2010 Share Posted March 4, 2010 I'm just wanting to introduce my self and give a little background of how I got into gaming. My name is Chris Jankowski I am and I live here in Buffalo. I am 19 and I go by the name of Chrismas on the interwebs. I got into gaming about 2 years ago when my friend lent me his copy of Half Life so I could play it on my brand new laptop (lol). I finished the game and absolutely loved it. Soon after I found out about HL2 and the Orange Box. So for my birthday I recived the Orange Box and ate up all 3 Half Life games and Portal in less than a week. I still had one game left to play call Team Fortress 2 which was a multiplayer. At the time I had no internet so I didnt get to play it until February of 2009 when I finally got a basic DSL connection. I played it and was terribly overwhelmed at first. I ,being a person that likes to challenge himself, decided to play the game more until i got good at it. I then became in love with the team style gameplay and started finding friends that worked well in game with me. I then found gaming communities. I first joined a community call The Gamers Playground. I got so involved with them that only after 3 or 4 months of playing with them they asked me to become an admin. I took the position to help them out but then realized that it was a very unfair community and decided to get a group of people and make our own community. Now I am head admin of the gaming community called Shit Just Got Real (SJGR). We have now 3 TF2 servers and growing. This is my proudest achievement so far. I love gaming communities and couldn't find any in the area until now. It seems like you guys are a tight group of people and I hope I'm welcome with open arms. Best advice for U to get to know us better is to join our events, we are a great group who thrive on JUST HAVING FUN & would like to see U @ our events. We have one on 3/13 @ Pursuits place & we always have a blast. Let us know if U will be attending. We generally have LAN events every 2nd Saturday of every month, with the exception being when we hold our big LPE ( lan party extravaganza ) events OR we are helping with other LAN's. We game not only on PC's, but also on the PS3 & 360 consoles as well.
