DaPoets
I happened to go into best buy today and they had an open box item that I couldn't turn away from. The Samsung P1200 blu-ray player for only $249.... I told them if they can knock the price down a bit I'd take it off their hands, so the manager brought it down to $219.99 for me!! I ran out the store w/ it. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/product...&lid=585550 New it's still sold for about $

PurSuiT
Does it play Divx and Ultra-Divx in upscaled 1080p on a Blu-Ray disc? That be like 50 HD quality movies per disc then, can only fit 11 or 12 per DVD+R DL disc now that play on a $40 Philips HMDI DVD Player. DaPoets
no idea.... but I have blockbuster online so I have access to all the blu-ray movies in existence :-) It does a wonderful job with the upscaling though.
PurSuiT
nice... I think Blu-Ray is ahead of HD DVD as they have writers out. Sony seems to be letting up also on manufactures that want to combined Blu-Ray writers with HD-DVD readers. found this Blu-ray/HD DVD Rom and DVD Writer interesting http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16827136133
DaPoets
There are only 2 main movie houses that have not jumped ship yet from HD-DVD to Blu-Ray and the word on the street is they are trying to figure out how to break their contracts and go Blu-Ray. When that happens it's the nail in the coffin for HD-DVD. But for me, Blockbuster Online made up my mind for me as they only carry Blu-Ray now.
