B.Ob.
Like Mother Nature, AMD has a dark side — and on September 25, 2007 it will be revealed to the world. Hmmm, any guesses?!? (Although that was the original date for the Crysis demo that got delayed a month.)
B.Ob.
AMD dared the world with new K8 "AMD created a lot of fuzz about rather lame product. It is set to announce something that we don't even dare to click on. We wrote about it yesterday here. AMD didn't dare to launch Phenom, as its still not ready and it went for a brand new 65 nanometre K8. The big new thing is Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Black Edition. The new CPU is unlocked, it is made on 65nm marchitecture and by default it works at 2.6GHz. It has a TDP of 65W and comes with 2x512KB L2 cache. AMD upped the expectations and all we got was a refresh of a few years old core at 65nm and probably a nice heatpipe cooler, as seen on the 6000+. If you buy 1000 of them one should cost $136 and AMD Europe and America will announce it later today. Phenoms are set for November launch at the same time as Intel plans to bring out dual and quad core Penryn." I agree, lameness.....
