Yeah 350/500 core/mem clocks, i haven't even messed around with o/c yet I'm still amazed how fast it runs at stock speeds so no need to o/c. Not yet anyways.

It's the cd version, I was hoping for the dvd version but if it was i would've ended up keeping it. ParoxysM I already have too many Rage cards sitting around collecting dust. I was thinking maybe a legit copy of a game i don't have like warcraft 3 or breed or maybe a old small HD cause i have a couple of older computers sitting around that i could use HDs for and not really worth putting anything over 20gb in them. or some old PC100 ram? I have a old abit BP6 mb that supports dual celerons that i'd like to throw together and set up a linux VPN server or something but don't want to put any money into it.

Looks real good(better) running with 2xAA, 8XAF,and all settings to max at 1280x1024 and it still runs alot faster than it ever did on the 9700pro. I am VERY HAPPY with this videocard. But i usually end spending alot on a videocard every 2-3 years but when i do buy it usually doubles my preformance. I had radeon 7200vivo, then 8500(retail), then 9700pro, and now 6800 GT. I always wait till the preformance boost is a big leap from what i have. I figure I'm good with this card for 2 years maybe longer unless PCI X helps alot more but that shouldn't happen till next year anyways once the software catches up to the hardware.

Well Halo wouldn't run with 61.71 beta drivers at all switched to 61.34 and it ran fine -------------------------9700pro-------|------6800GT HALO 1024x768--------------48.67--------|------89.09 1280x1024------------33.57--------|------76.89 again all details/quality settings maxed out, no AA or AF, avg FPS not bad over twice as fast at 1280x1024 will update other benchmarks with different drivers

Still want to benchmark HALO, Call of Duty and BF vietnam plus some more benchs with 4xAA and 8xAF on some of the games but pretty impressive on most of the benchs, really good on 1280x1024 should be more impressive when using AA and AF

Crazy, you'll need 2 pci-x(16x) slots to do it but that will be a crazy setup. It will only cost about $1000 to do it, not sure if I have enough in the piggy bank to do it, i better start collecting cans.

I just might order one! I ordered one earlier and it was in stock, but just checked there site again and now it says 7/5/04 release but my order still says in stock? Maybe they had a few to sell and that's it and won't get anymore till 7/5/04?

I'm signed up for it already, so as soon as they release it I'll let you how it runs. Not planning on upgrading cpu + MB for at least a year, now video card is a different matter. Looking at the 6800 gt because it has all 16 pipelines inabled with out having to do a mod like the x800 pro, and you can overclock the hell out of it from what i've been reading on some of the reviews. Looks like it might be the best bang for the buck. I'm a huge Ati fan but looking at the Nvidia card because it's not castrated like the x800 pro and it beats the pro in most benchmarks without overclocking. plus PS 3.0.

No useful software? Well like I said it runs all 32bit software like a champ, and it will only be 2-3 months before 64 bit starts ramping up. Maybe a little early to be buying a A64 but i had the 2500+ for over a year, close to a year and a half. It was about time for an upgrade and the A64 is alot better investment than a P4. It should be good for at least another year and a half before I start thinking of upgrading CPU again. Now I just gotta wait till the new video cards are widely availiable, I can't wait to pair my A64 with x800 or 6800 and play some 64bit farcry and ut2k4.

I also recently got a athlon64 3200+ with a Abit KV8-Max3 board and very pleased with it, only maybe a 10-15% difference in 3dmark2k3 from my xp 2500+(barton)but that is more of a video card benchmark. FarCry, UT2k4, BF vietnam play much smoother. It seems that the Max frames aren't that much higher(15-30%) but it seems they are more constant, not getting lag when things get brutal in game. Some things are much faster, like any type of video editing or encoding the processor kicks ass. Overall system preformance seems much faster to me also. Boot up time is super fast!!(15-25 secs, I'll have to time but twice as fast as my asus a7n8x + xp 2500+) I can't wait till win xp64bit and farcry64 r out, once stuff starts using the 64 bit extensions of the processor it will kick even more ass. It's nice to finally see AMD take the lead role in the processor market.

Face models r real good but if you compare it to farcry or ut2k4 and doom3, half life2, battlefield modern combat which will surely be out before DNF, they hopefully did alot more stuff with 3+ years of time(fingers crossed) to make it compare. oh well i just got sick of waiting for it, kinda of gave up on it. "when it's done" got old 2 years ago.

yeah I had high hopes for DNF but even if it did come out now I think the graphics will be so dated at this point it would be almost pointless to release it. If i remember correctly it was using the unreal 1 engine. Are they still planning on releasing it? Or has it been scraped? haven't heard anything about it in a long time.

I know i'm a junkie, been playing it since it first came out and still not bored with it. But I have 2 friends working on new modules plus i have starting building myself, and with all the good mods from the community should not be bored for quite some time!!!! I should be on there tonight too.

I was just checking it out and looks like it's mainly a graphic workstation card not a gamers card. Great at Open GL but not much else and the question is if it's really 512-bit or 2x256=512 because of dual processors? It should be interested to see if they do make a gamers edition of that card. ATI has suprised me that they haven't done a dual processor card, the arcitechure they use can support up to 32 vpus strung together, Imagine a X800 Super PE edition 32 vpu's with (32x256)8192megs of ram and only taking up to 8-10 pci-x slots and coming with it's own generator(he-he) at the low low price of a couple of hundred thousand dollars plus a free copy of duke nukem forever!!!!!

I'm happy with my Pioneer 107d 8x -/+ R 8x which you can get for about $100 at newegg now and with the newest hacked firmware you can burn -/+ R 4x media at 8x as long as you use decent media I recommend ritek g04 discs which are under $40 for a 50pack at newegg also. Dual layer is cool as hell but not much media out right now and on +R only at 2.4x which is gonna take about 45-60mins a disk. Better to wait until they have dual format/ dual layer burners with faster burn speeds. Updating to dual layer with firmware update is very risky as the lasers r not designed fro dual layer and could destroy your drive or at least shorten it's life because of the extra stress on it.

Hello, just wanted to let everyone know that I'm running a Neverwinter Nights Server for anyone interested. It is a mod done by my friend in Kentucky that I am now hosting and i have powerlink pro. getting about 578kpbs upload so bandwidth should not be an issue. The server name is AZMO listed under action game types no password or anything. Because it is a custom module you will need to start a new character, no local characters sorry. But it wouldn't be as much fun if you had 20+ lev character to start. You will need original NWN + shadows of underine tide expansion to play but not hordes of the underdark. Characters will save in server vault and be tied to your cd-key so even if you had to reinstall or switch computers your characters on server would not be lost. It is a very cool dungeon crawler and challenging and the more people the better!!! Over 12 levs + alot of sub levs cannot be beat in 1 night unless you had multiple 25+ lev characters at least 5+ even then it would be tough if not impossible. For even more info on server and stuff being worked on by my friend go to http://www.elitegamers.org/forum/ under Neverwinter Night- General Banter or Server config. I keep it running 24/7 right now. I also post any problems with server or info under same name= Ellilion and it is my listing on Xfire, so if you see me on I'm always down to play even if I have to start a new character for anyone starting fresh.

yeah i've been lazy and haven't hooked up uv lights yet, will post once i do it. Should be in the next couple of days. As i had a bad bios flash on my athlon 64 board and have to have it replaced so while i'm in there i'll hook lights back up and take photos.
