I think he's refering to the other characters in the game..... My biggest issue with DS is that I can never find both disks at the same time. I still think we could get into a game of Battlegrounds...its easier to find....due to multiple copies. I think DS is in my big box of disks with split seams. Just a few doz....hundred CD's in there. Anybody feel like digging? <_<

I thought you had a Radeon vid card. Both of mine still work fine.....but I dont run 3 apps while playing a game....hehe. Is it just the one game thats having trouble, or in general? I would try going back a version or 2 on the catalyst drivers. The newest one doesnt seem to have it together. My friend has an ATI Xtasy-9500 but it doesnt like the new drivers. I havent tried them with mine, I loaded them from an older file...maybe 3 months old. If your good, I might email em to ye....nope, that wont work, 22meg. .....I guess your SOL....

I could get into some DS, but I dont remember having much luck in the multiplayer. Like all games besides UT, everyone has to have the same version, same patches, same addons, etc... There are so many variables, and no other game makes it easy like UT. We should do something about that....hehe I'm gonna reinstall it now. See what you started!!

I tried telling you guys we need backup batteries on the routing hardware. It makes a big difference. Jau should remember how his switch and router stopped working from a momentary power glitch, made my battery pack beep for just a moment. Then he started plugging the switch into the pack whenever I was there. I know that will take a few $$, you would need them all over the basement

If its a voltage issue, try plugging the fan into the PS. I have 3-4 pin adapters if you need one. I'll be in town in the next day or 2.

Just the mobo and vid card, not hardly everything. I'd wait till the new ones come out anyway. With the new PCI-X boards and cards on the market, all your new stuff will be cheaper. Your $$ alocation will go much further, could jump 2 grades in the cpu and vid for the same dollars. Question is- when do they hit the shelves? and are you willing to wait that long

Yea, I dont think I've ever seen Nem fully awake....though he hasnt quite mastered the art of walking around totally asleep as I have....hehe ...those extra miles will do that

Arent you folded when your at the computer? For that matter, I think we're all crumled one way or another. When you sit, you fold at the knees and waist...and its not easy to sit without folding your arms. So unless your standing up, arms extended, and typing without bending your elbows, wrists, or knuckles, you are folded and folding/unfolding. Doesnt that mean we are all Crumpled?

Yea, but you still find vids that need the old divx3 codec for audio. If its an AVI (sounds like it is) you can use divfix to redo the index. This allows you to view partial AVI files, but dont screw with the original of you wont be able to finish the d-load. AVI's tend to have the frame index at the end so without divfix, you need the whole file to watch it. Unlike mpg's, that are indexed in the timeline.

For a second I thought you were talking about the movie. Cant really comment on the game till we play it, but a BF engine seems like a cool thing, but the planes need to be more manuverable

You might get slaughtered on a server. Playing against the computer is easier, because its always predictable. I raised all the levels in BF so the enemy has 2-3 times qs mqny soldiers at one time than I do. Once theyre pinned down, that doesnt matter...as long as I dont run out of ammo. On Market Garden, I thought I was beaten, only 52 men left against over 200. I was able to pin them down and kill them as they respawned. PLanted my tank next to an ammo bin and that was it. Now if I can get my men to stay back while I shoot instead of running into an ambush, I'll be all set.

How about a Middle Earth theme? Maybe, Mount Doom in the distance over the shower....could do some neat effects putting Mount Doom in the toilet bowl, but that may be a little too elaborate.

Did both have the same patches? I didnt have trouble connecting to any of them, except when they were being restarted. Yea, it was a great time. I gotta get better ram. Anyone got extra PC3200?
