Are you assuming the sales ppl @ verizon know what SDSL is, if the said 768kbps they where most likely speaking of ADSL which would give you a 768/128 line not a 768/768. also I would think Mary is right on track as far as 640 top speed, have to subtract 20% from the top listed speed for any verizon residential accounts for the overhead alone just from PPPOE. I have installed cable internet in too many Verizon employees houses. If they don't want their own service(which is discounted if not free), then why would anyone else in their right mind??
