B.Ob.
The Artistic Stylings of Team Fortress 2 (PC) "Artistically, the team really focused on what they called the "read hierarchy." In other words, what information you can tell from a character at a glance, from most obvious to less obvious. "Team" was most important, so the red and blue teams have very distinct palettes. Next is class, which the designers wanted to be obvious even from silhouette. The character's shape, body proportions and clothes all convey the character's class with broad strokes. Last in the read hierarchy is what weapon the character is carrying. To draw your eye to the weapon, the highest-contrast area of a character is at chest level, and the characters wear darker clothes on their bottom half to draw your eye upwards."
