I have a samsung harddrive that had linux mint and windows on it. Sunday the dropped
would not boot. kept giving me a Grub error. I made the mistake of resetting the mbr
with windows using fixmbr and fix boot. Now I am having trying seeing anything on the drive.
I have over 200 gigs of music I downloaded in addition to miscellaneous pics and other stuff
Now I am having trouble even seeing the drive. The drive is not that old 3 years maybe
can anyone offer any help or help with data recovery.

Hey all I got an Xbox 360 Star Wars Kinect for Christmas.
Anyone play Fable 3 and NHL 12, got any tips for playing them. Been mostly playing
NHL 12 getting somewhat of a fix for Hockey.

I been playing Diablo a lot lately. I mostly play the RPG style games. WIfe has been asking me about Assissins Creed 3 how is that game.

What new games did you all get for Christmas? I got the Witcher 2 assassins of kings.
Not sure if I like it or not. The graphics are good but in some spots the playability could be a bit easier.
I also got Dungeon seige 3. I like this one a lot. I played the first 2, never completed them though. I always seem to get to a ppoint in
a game where I can never find what I need to complete a quest and continue the story.
Anyone playing the Witcher 2.

I bought Dragon Age Ultimate Edition a few days ago. I am wondering if anyone plays it.
Do any of you use mods, what are the best one and how do u install them?

Considering wife and I just moved into new house budget is not that high. Her son mainly does
some browsing and some gaming. Mostly console games played thru an emulator. Nothing graphically intense
like today's game. preferably a laptop that has a very quiet keyboard too, lol.

My wife has a 16 year old son that has an hp laptop he has had for almost 2 years.
Does anyone have a laptop for sale? The power cord does not work. It is his second one too.
The power connection to mb is loose. Can anyone maybe repair that. BB wants to charge him 90.00.
The kid at bb told him to get a mac. Her son has been using her dell power cord. It will not charge the
battery.

I got an ACer laptop for Christmas. I have been having a lot of trouble trying to get the wireless
to work with a few distros. OpenSUSE 11.4, Sabayon, and a couple others. I am not an expert in
Linuw to figure this out. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing.
I can give you a hand. What kind of wireless chipset is it? And what is the model/type of Acer laptop.

That would be great. What Distros are you familiar with. I like Linux mint, its kind of an off shoot of ubuntu. Its fast boots up quick and shuts down quick. The laptop is this model. http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/LX.PZS02.082 I think it is an atheros nic.

Thanks. She actually makes more money than I do so its all good. I told my kids the
other day. They are happy too. They drew pictures of the house for the wife.

I have a whole bag full of parts and both screens, actully enuff parts to almost put a whole DS Lite together. You can have them all if you like as the kids now have DSi XLs

Me and my new wife bought a home yesterday. She is so happy. I am too but she is like
uncontrollably happy.

I have a pink DS Lite (no accessories) with a broken top screen I haven't gotten around to fixing. Battery works good. You could have it for $25. I think a new screen and the screw driver is $15.
Where would I get a new screen for it and is it easily replaced.

Anyone have a nintendo DS in decent working condition for sale. My daughter lost hers
and she keeps asking for another one to play the games she got for Christmas. I figured I would
see if I could get a used one.

I got a new laptop for Christmas. The laptop supports 12 gigs ram, ddr 3.
It came with 4 gigs ram, in stalled with 2 - 2 gig sticks. I would like to max out
the ram but to do so I need to remove the 2 gig sticks. Would anyone care to take
the 2 gig sticks for a reasonable fee.

I jot got the memory so it has not been used that much. I am selling it because the heatsinck is too tall. my cpu fan blocks off
2 slots. If I had memory that was smaller I would still be able to use slot 1 and 2.
Help recover hard drive.

ok it's Windows 7 home. It's an Acer laptop that did not come with an install cd. The Linux version was Mint 13.
