I'd like to see some F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin going... will there be any tournaments? may i suggest CoD4 tourny?

However, you forgot to edit the "Games to be tentatively played by popular demand" list - it's outdated (maybe add CoD4, Team Fortress 2, CoH, Crysis, etc)... and for the prizes, add UT3.

Bob, a staff member from UB is going to review the LPE website as soon as today or tomorrow (most likely today) for a possible chance of advertising LPE IX via e-mail to computer science/engineering undergraduates at UB. I sent an e-mail to her a few minutes ago and I don't expect her to respond later than very soon
Therefore, I strongly suggest that you update the website ASAP today with the most accurate info (sponsors, prizes, etc). If she approves of this then we're talking about advertising the event to a lot of people.
I'll give you more detailed info later on.

You are probably comparable to an NCAA DIV 3 basketball player who can consistently put up 20 points a game. You attend practice, play every game and are the best player on your team.
Im that old dude that could sink 100 baskets in a row if I wanted to. I haven't played in forever and don't have any desire to.
You are kinda new around here, so I'll give you a heads up. There are a couple of us that you don't want to challenge to any FPS game...especially for money.
What would be more interesting is a random 4 game tourney. Everyone writes down a few game titles and throws it in a hat, then 4 games are picked and played FFA. I haven't installed a new game in over a year

I have no problem with playing a tournament consisting of four random games as long as F.E.A.R is one of them - when I first came into the WNYG forums I asked around for F.E.A.R gamers and I was excited to find out that this local club/clan had a few F.E.A.R players of its own. Then I found out you were "the best" F.E.A.R player in this club and, because I have been playing F.E.A.R for more than a year now, am very well known amongst other F.E.A.R veterans and veteran clans, and participated in some of the top ranked F.E.A.R tournaments, I am curious to find out exactly how good you really are since you are from the local area.
Nevertheless, I would also like to point out that you still have not accepted or denied my challenge. Also, if you insist on playing a tournament of 4 random games then my submissions would consist of F.E.A.R, Call Of Duty 4, Battlefield 2142, and Team Fortress 2.

I called you out before but you never took my challenge as serious as I had hoped. Therefore, I hope you will be LPE '08 so I can play you 1vs1 in F.E.A.R on Bob's projector screen in front of 75 people
If you're not attending LPE '08 then we can also play on the WNYG F.E.A.R server.Are you up for the challenge? Don't be scared now

Confirmed sponsors I know of our Speedcore Networks, Zany Coffee & Collectibles and CPU magazine. One thing I think most ppl do not know is we really do not receive confirmation from sponsors until their stuff shows up on bob's door step a few days before the LAN and sometimes even the Monday or Tuesday after (then it is used for the next LPE). We do have some misc stuff that was left overs from the past 2 LPE (AKA: Shirts, Mouse Pads, Pens and other promo stuff) that will be handed out as it has in the past.
You will know the sponsors ASA we do, Hope this helps!

I am almost done with the flyer. I need a list of sponsors now so if someone can give me that list asap that would be great (just post it as a reply to this topic).

So Bob, do you want me to promote this at UB by putting flyers up? I'm good at photoshop so if you'd like I can make the flyers for you. Just tell me what the prizes are going to be because that catches the eye in flyers.

Think before I got there they played 6 hours of CoD4 straight, took a 1 or 2 round break for some CoH and then wwnt back to 4 hours of CoD4.
Nem and me played some GoW co-op sometime in there.
That's why I KNOW FOR A FACT that CoD 4 will be played at the LPE on Jan 19th

Good, now they have to fix the stupid never-ending "awaiting connection" screen. When I click on a server I want to join instantly not stare at that dumb screen till my eyes pop out only to get a message saying "server connection timed out" :signs-goodnight1:

Sorry neles86 (nelson) and I couldn't make it this month. I was having some car trouble that day and I was afraid of being stuck all the way over there (I live ~30 mins away).
But next time we will definitely make it. What games did you guys play by the way?

Good Times!!!! Thanks to all for some CoD4 and TF2 gaming goodness!!!
Call of Duty 4 was pretty good, graphics and game play are A+, then again the last 2 on the PC were great games also. The new game mods of MP are kewl, the bomb one seemed the best, after loading up CoD2 I noticed alot of the CoD4 game types are just modded types from CoD2. Game was ok, when I get a chance I will go through Single Player and I would play it again at a LAN in a heart beat. This to me was not the Game of the Year yet. Will have to wait to judge when Crysis (and I am not a over the top Farcry fanboy, but the game looks really good) and Unreal Tournament 3 comes out.
On a side note has anyone played Gears of War on the PC/LAN?
Crysis is not out in stores yet but somehow the "world of software/game pirates" already has it
