Yeah, I finished the game a couple days ago. I loved it, totally up my alley. My favorite part, believe it or not, is saving the little sisters. With how Rapture went to hell and all the creepy things happenning, that was one of the nice things that made me warm and fuzzy. Now I'm going to play through it again and kill them all . Plasmid/gun combo was fun. Freezing and shooting them was a waste though. Once they shattered there was no body to loot and you could only get something if they had a gun. This was one of the first games I can remember that I used prox. mines. And the flame thrower weapon was one I wish I used more once I got it. I didn't use it much when I first got it. Used it a lot torwards the end of the game I wished I started using it sooner. Dragon

Our normal lan days are every 2nd Saturday of the month, so this Saturday will be our next. Bobsbrat is kind enough to let us ransack the house for the day. Our next LPE event is in October. For this Sat, all you need is your pc, headphones, and about $5 for chips, pop, and pizza and wings for dinner. I usually supply a case of beer for anyone that is of age . Directions can be found here . What we play will pretty much be up in the air. Any of the BF series, SupCom, Company of Heroes, HL2DM, Fear, Q4, FlatOut series, Titan Quest, AvP2, Far Cry, NFS series ( but it blows when you can only have 4 peeps at a time and more than that want in) are all fair game that the lans. Fear is an easy one as its free so everyone should have it and those first 5 listed have been the most popular as of late. We beat the piss out of Coh at the last lan but I'm hoping ppl still want to play as I'm always looking for a good fight. That's all I can think of for now. Dragon

Yeah, can anyone say 4gigs. No doubt it'll chew through 2gigs. BF2 only supposedly used 1gig but eats up a ton more on my system with 2gigs. It'll be nice to get to see how the game will run on my pc before I get it though. I had my GForce2 when Far Cry came out and the demo proved I needed an upgrade, nothing I didn't know already though. I upgraded a couple weeks after the release to the 2500 and 9800pro. Dragon

Argh. You guys and your 24/7 Kark. Tankgunner and his clan, 23rd, have their own server now and its 24/7 Kark. Granted its a great map, probably one of the best of BF2, but it wears on me after a couple rounds and I need a change. I actually haven't play BF2 in a couple months now, and its probbably a shock to most cause I'm a hugh BF2 guy. I may hop on at some point though. Dragon

I forgot which Linux I'm running on the Alps box. It was either this one or someother variant. I liked how well it ran even on a k-6 450 with 512 ram. I like the features they keep pouring into Linux. Probably like it so much cause its not Winblows. I loved Linux MCE and keep thinking about putting a box together to run that. You got it. As far as games that we'll play, pretty much anything goes, so its kind of hard to tell you what to be ready for. Last lan Company of Heroes was hugh (probably all my doing). Fear, Stalker, Q4, BF2, Coh, SupCom, HL2DM are all pretty standard for us. Sometimes there's the off chance we'll play BFV, BF1942, AvP2 or Far Cry. If you keep an eye on the forums, we'll sometimes see what everyone would be interested in playing. But we don't have a formal agenda for the day, only our VFW lan are planned out because of time. Yeah, the lame ass wide screen support sucks. Glad I'm not running one yet. I'm sure with all the bitching on the forums, 2K will patch it in, but it should have been there from the start. It runs great on my pc. Every now and then I get a hicup but its never when it matters. I get smooth fps all the time. I really haven't seen a difference between Dx9 and 10 with screenshots, maybe my eyes are going. Hopefully we'll have someone at the next lan with Dx10 and the game and we can compare side by side. Yeah, the fellowship quests pay out more and better weapons. Blue quests shouldn't be too hard for the both of you. I've had no prob soloing blue quests with my healer, but then again, I can sit there all day and heal myself. I don't know if Caps can get into heavy armor, I know my Minstrel can't and I think its the same for burglars. I can train for Med armor, which I did, but it'll never be real high since Minstrels are support class. My other toon is a 37 guardian and his armor is close to 1000. My Min has a 300 something armor don't know how much higher it'll go as I choose armor based on what it does for me in Fate, Will and Vitality, which are what I need the most. If your in a pinch and have some cash, you can always go to the auction house in Bree and buy something. I can also make you something, which would probably be better and free. I can make a lot of good stuff with my guardian. Dragon
