    We tried, and it worked for about a week...There just seems to be a general lack of interest in bringing things back up to where we were a year ago.

     

    So, that being said, we're killing the LAN. We'll be joining in on your LAN from time to time, though, as long as you guys still host it. I don't have the energy left in me to set up a LAN, only to have 10 people promise to be there then no-show. It sucks when you're expecting 15 and end up with 3...And it's happened on more than one occasion....

    Sounds like my kind of game. 2 questions though...

     

    Can you play with your unlocked stuff on lan or online only? And is there a medic class? :harhar:

    I don't see any support style classes, like medics or engineer types, but I can't say with absolute certainty that there isn't one. Maybe there's a Perk that you can get later on in the game to allow you to drop a health pack for others, or some ammo pouches.

     

    I believe that you would only be able to use your unlocked items on ranked servers, but then again, when you're setting up a LAN server you can adjust the settings however you like; so that all weapons are unlocked, or certain classes are unlocked or restricted (i.e. no snipers, pistols only, etc.)

    You know, I think I've still got a Voodoo 2 Upgrade card laying around....12MB PCI jumper card that just boosted the RAM on your current video card. I used that with a Vanta32 4MB AGP 2x....talk about sweet graphics! :harhar:

    The ranking system is pretty good, much like BF2 with it's weapon upgrades and such. You get weapons fairly quick in the first few ranks, so you're not completely gimped with n00b weapons right off the get-go. The Challenges that you get are pretty cool, and unlock some nice extras for your weapons, like scopes and grips. Everything seems to serve a purpose, depending on what your gaming style is.

     

    Personally, I like my decked out machine gun...I've got the RPC with a Red-Dot Scope on it, with perks for extra stability and damage. Throw in a cool pistol and some nades, and we're all set!

    That sounds pretty cool. I've been keeping an eye on TF2 and it looks interesting. I don't even have Episode 1, but was thinking about picking everything up next month to see what all the hype was about...

    Well, we hit 13 last night. Still doing all the quests around Staddle/Bree area, even though they're a few levels below us. We both like questing...much better than grinding, for the most part. Found a place on the East side of Midgewater Marsh that's got some tier 2 resources and lvl 10-18 mobs, so I think we might go kill stuff there for a couple of levels, after we finish some more quests.

     

    Bought a nice 2h axe in the auction house last night for 50s. Little pricey, but I think it will do me some good when I hit 15 and can use it.

     

    What kind of "free gear" would you be talking about? As I said before, we can both use medium armor, but you never said which craft you could do...lol
