Sony's PSN is back in all it's glory EXCEPT for the PSN Store. It was originally slated for return on 5/24/11 BUT as we all know Sony isn't always the best when it comes to following through on given timelines. I know when I first heard of this pending date, I was very confident that they wouldn't pull through on it & I was right. I don't know if this is just wrong but I actually laughed pretty hard when I saw Sony officially state that the return of the PSN has been delayed yet again. Sony's latest statement is now that the PSN Store will be back before the end of May. I'm just hoping this means the end of May 2011 & not 2012 or beyond!! -- Nem

The newest entry in the Battlefield series, Battlefield 3, is looking to do what no other FPS game has been able to do before... take the crown from Call of Duty. This latest installment looks great, so there may actually be a chance for this to happen. Click on this LINK to check out a really cool 12 minute video showing off a Demo of the game. Once again, the juggernaunt of all FPS's is back & is looking to remain on top with it's newest entry into the shooter genre. Check out this LINK from ign.com to see the latest trailer in action. The PSN is now back up, well mostly that is... such services as Friends List, Online Gameplay, Home, Music & Video are working again. The PSN Store is still offline & will be back soon. -- Nem

As we all know, due to a recent Cyber-Attack on the PSN, it has been down for 3 weeks BUT is now starting to see signs of life. When U fire up your PS3 tonite, you will be required to download a new firmware, v3.61, in order to connect to the PSN. Once installed, you will be forced to change your password on the PS3 that you are normally active on for your PSN acct. That part isn't working yet but the firmware update is. It should be active sometime tonite as Sony is rolling out the new PSN across the nation one state at a time. Click on this LINK to see all the details. -- Nem

That URL for steam shows DNF Standard Edition being sold @ $44.99 I'm planning on buying this not only b/c of honoring Bob but b/c I enjoy this game as well. Too bad they aren't offering a DNF package where we could have 4 people involved @ a discounted price. -- Nem You may see a 4 pack the week of release.... I went to Gamestop & did a reserve there for it... doing so will net you a free bonus DLC for it called Dukes Big Package, something you don't get thru Steam. -- Nem

Hahahahaha... no, at this time the PSN is down, still undergoing repairs from the hack. And yes Pursuit, my 360 & Wii are working online just fine as well It's no real big deal to me that the PSN is down as I've been busy doing non-psn gaming anyways. -- Nem

I saw this movie on opening nite @ the Regal 3D IMAX on transit & it was awesome. I definitely recommend this movie, just make sure U stay for the scene after the credits. This is a very busy year for movies & there's still plenty more to see in the upcoming months. -- Nem

Battlefield 3 ... this game is seriously being hyped as the game that will utterly de-throne the KING of all FPS's, Call of Duty, something that I would really like to see happen. If it does, that'll be awesome b/c that means an even better gaming experience for us all. Any thoughts/comments on this? What system will U grab this for ... PC, PS3 or 360? The newest addition to EA's racing series is "Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit" & this is simply an awesome game. It has been totally redone & has breathed new life into the Need for Speed series. I have it on my 360 & just love it, so experiencing it at a LAN party will be even better. EA partnered with Criterion, the company who made Burnout Paradise, so this game was bound to be a blast right from the start. Keep an eye out for this game to go on sale & scoop it up when it does, you'll be very happy that U did. -- Nem

The name is legendary, not to mention how long it took to re-make the game!! It's release is right around the corner. It's classic Duke with a nice new fresh coat of paint. So, who all will be jumping onto the Duke Nukem Forever bandwagon & getting this game? What system will U get it for ... PC, PS3 or 360? DNF offers both Single & Multiplayer modes & the weapons look awesome, not to mention the gameplay. Capture the Babe anyone?! So, what Edition of Duke Nukem Forever will U be getting ... As a fan of the L4D series, when word of this leaked out, I of course was intrigued... now that intrigue has now turned into "I GOTTA HAVE THIS GAME". If you've played L4D/L4D2, then U have an idea what this game is about... U & a band of survivors are trying to escape from hordes of undead who want to make U their next meal... but that's where the similarities end. The creators of this game took L4D as their inspiration & crafted their own beast that offers up something more. Co-Op still plays a huge role in this but now they've introduced a leveling system for your character... this helps flesh out just how U want to play the game with your character. Also, Melee is going to have more of an impact in this than it did in L4D. As usual, details that truly explain more of the guts & glory of this game are still under wraps, but that should change soon enough, especially with E3 happening next month. If this game lives up to all its HYPE, then I can easily see it being a must-have for upcoming LAN Parties. Dead Island -->> 8/1/11 What are your thoughts/impressions? -- Nem

Torchlight 2 will FINALLY include multiplayer & looks like it'll be a total blast to play. I know that Torchlight 1 was very popular but simply lacked multiplayer, an issue that has now been addressed in Torchlight 2. It offers several different character classes to choose from, an impressive loot system & customization. Not alot of info has been released yet about what the mechanics of the Multiplayer experience, such as what it'll entail, but I'm sure it'll be good regardless. Dungeon Siege 3 has always been about multiplayer, loot & generally just having a great time. I've played the prior 2 versions & really enjoyed them. Details about what the multiplayer components of this game entail are limited as well, but it should be very good regardless. Both games offer their own unique flare on Art Styles & gameplay visuals/audio, so both should offer up quite an experience in terms of gameplay. With all that said, right now I'm favoring Torchlight 2... it offers something new as it has never had multiplayer & Torchlight 1 was very impressive. I'll be getting Dungeon Siege 3 as well. Both these games will be making their presence known @ upcoming LAN Parties. -- Nem

FPS games ... Killing Floor is all about LAN play & the game is ALOT of fun to boot, get it b4 the LPE. It's a Steam Game. L4D & L4D2 are a blast, especially when on a Super Server, which we're expecting @ the LPE as well. I haven't played Crysis 2 yet, so I have no idea as to how the LAN play for that is. Lead & Gold - Gangs of the Wild west, another Steam game, is surprising alot of fun, plays alot like Team Fortress 2, so I would also recommend it. These are just some of the FPS games we normally play... hope this helps. -- Nem
