I TOLD you all that "Need for Speed - Hot Pursuit" was an awesome game AND now those of you that played it KNOW. Tecboy, your LAN was a blast, thanks for having us. I'm looking forward to the LPE in October, more good time to be had. Tecboy, what I did 2 U in that game was just so wrong on so many levels BUT funny as all hell... I haven't laughed so hard playing that game like I did Saturday night!! Lapres... the game costs $10.20 right now due to the Steam sale... get it!! -- Nem

This game just got posted on Steam & it looks wicked sweet. It's a shoot'em up/horror survival game. Looks to be inspired by several games... L4D, Zombies, Killing Floor & such. Right now you can pre-order it for $18. The game was made by fans of the FPS genre who won the "Lets make something UNREAL contest in 2010". It's also coming out on the PS3 & 360. So what games are we looking to play @ this LAN? I'm up for the following PC games ... Dead Island Killing Floor Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Left 4 Dead ... as well as other PC games. Is anyone bringing a 360? If so, I just got Crimson Alliance for it & it's pretty cool. It's a spin-off of Diablo & other dungeon crawlers & I would like to play it w/ a group. Otherwise I have Black Ops, Halo Reach & other games on the 360 that would be fun to play w/ a group. -- Nem

Yeah, I totally agree with Tecboy... that LAN was alot of fun... especially when Pat finally admitted to his TRUE nickname... "slut"!! LMAO Now, once Ru gets his 360 revived, we can get some 360 gaming in the mix as well. Killing Floor was a blast but we definitely need to develope our Teamwork just a bit more. -- Nem

Well, it looks like we're going to have a pretty good turn out for this event... good times are going to be had! Besides the PC's, is anyone showing up with a 360 as well? I'll bring mine along if there's going to be 360's there. I hope this weather behaves itself so that we can take advantage of the pool. Don't believe everything you hear when it comes to Nintendo, you might be surprised by what's really going on & how much of it was really self-inflicted... Nintendo is financially hurting right now due to their own short-sightedness... they took way too long to come out w/ a new gaming console to keep up with the PS3 & 360, and sales are finally reflecting this. The PS3 & 360 have many features over the Wii that people now take for granted, which literally forced Nintendo to admit their mistake is rushing the Wii out like they did w/o all the extra bells & whistles that one would expect to find in a console. Is it a wonder that Nintendo is making the Wii-U now? They have alot riding on this new game console & they better get it right this time around. The Wii-U HAS to deliver on ALL promises made by Nintendo to the Press & they NEED to have a killer line-up of games @ launch, not to mention a HUGE list of games @ launch. Nintendo has a history of dropping the ball when it comes to new system launches & having practically no games to play on it. It's widely known that the 3DS handheld isn't selling very well, and I can honestly say I'm not surprised... that handheld unit isn't worth $250 & most people know it, which is one of the reasons it's selling so poorly. Combine this will a VERY poor list of games available @ launch, not to mention what's out now, and U can see why they're hurting so much. Nintendo was banking on their "die-hard" fan base to help them out on this & most people were like... "I'd love to BUT ...". Nintendo isn't really taking a loss on the unit going from $250 to $170 as it actually doesn't cost them all that much to make it, they were making over $100 per unit sold @ the present pricing of $250. The cool thing that Nintendo is doing, and my hat is off to them for doing it, is for anyone who bought the 3DS for $250, b4 it goes on sale for $170, will be able to take advantage of their "Ambassador Program"... this will allow you to download from the Nintendo market any 20 games you want directly onto the 3DS as their way of saying "thank you". I find that very cool. Thanks to the upcoming sale on the 3DS, not to mention there will be a trade-in program for current owners of the DSi/DS @ various stores, the 3DS is now on my radar of something to buy in the near future. Official date of price drop for the 3DS -->> 8/12/11 The question now is this... will this be enough to help bring a renewed life back into Nintendo? Keep in mind that Sony & Microsoft have new game consoles coming out AFTER the Wii-U, giving them plenty of time to see what Nintendo does & counter it as they see fit. Also, Sony has the PS Vita handheld coming out later this year, which in itself is a powerhouse of technology. What are people going to be more inclined towards buying? -- Nem

Duke Nukem Forever has a Patch coming out soon... one of the things it does is it allows Duke to carry up to 4 guns instead of just 2. There is DLC coming out for DNF soon as well. -- Nem

Lapres_3, Definitely work on making a super server, not only for killing floor, but for L4D2 as well, that's always a good time when we gets more peeps in. I bought Borderlands during the Steam Mega Sale, so I'm itching to give that a go if U R game. I still want to play some Nazi Zombies via LAN!! -- Nem

This FPS/RPG game looks rather sweet & it's on sale from 7/30 - 8/6 for just $17.99 It offers Co-Op as well as Multiplayer, there's a TON of customization to it, here's the LINK The game looks like it's a combo of Half-Life 2, DEUS EX & Fallout BUT on some major steroids & for a lesser cost, can't go too wrong with that! In case anyone is interested in getting a PS3, current rumors have the PS3 slated for a $50 price-drop in August. As to whether or not this is true, only time will tell. -- Nem

I know my son & I want to come, it's just a matter of what time I can get there since I now work Saturday's. As for the games, he's itching to play some Modern Warfare 2, L4D2, Killing Floor & Need 4 Speed: Hot Pursuit. We're both pretty much open to other games as well. War Inc Battlezone is a "free-to-play" game that looks cool, so we can always try that. I'm definitely down for swimming as I imagine it'll be another hot day. I'm not sure what PC games are coming out during August, if any at all. -- Nem

Well, I guess it's settled then... me & my A$$ are going to show up & cannonball all that water outta your pool & into your car... FREE of charge!! I've been busy, this does generally occur around this time of year for me, which is why I have been somewhat absent from the lan's. Combine that with my new schedule @ work which has me working Saturdays now & that only causes for issues.
