  1. I'll be there, rockin' the camera gear.

My wife just upgraded her camera so I might try to bing her old Canon Rebel along to take pictures too and I can upload them somewhere for poeple. I am going to try to go even though I have a family trip planned. I will just hop on the Am Track.

  2. Hey, I'm going to be opening up a video game store in Tonawanda, NY called Play N Trade. This store will have an eight computer LAN Center, in addition to seven additional TVs with XBOX360s and PS3s. The store is not open yet, but definitely will be opening around September. Everybody will be welcome to come and play at the store.

In the meantime, if anybody has any suggestions or comments for the store and LAN Center I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

Soda Dispenser, Ice machine, and Adult Lans with keg?

  3. My little brother left for Alaska and asked me to sell his computer. I don't think its worth much more than $120, but let me know what you think. it's a AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (2.2 ghz) cpu 90nm in a ASUS A8n-SLI Deluxe board. It also has two sticks of 512 mb of PC3200 DDR2 Kingston Ram. I either have a pci video card for it or for an extra 20 an ATI 1600 PCI-E card. It has an 80 GIG WD IDE drive in it and powered by some off brand 550w power supply. Finally it is all wraped in a Antec Lan boy silver case with a window on the side. Let me know if there is anything that might interest you.

    Thanks,

    Zach

  4. It's sad that we need a dual core just for web browsing these days. You should be able to get away with what your using if you try some different internet browsing clients. Google crome is actually a really cool browser. freash OS install always helps here too with some new T.I.M. to keep the processor cool.

If your not already keep your eyes on old gaming machines on craigslist. I have seen a few dual cores for cheap on there. I have even tempted to get one just as a backup machine.

I think the is issue is the 768 RAM and old 60G HD. For the price of new ram and HD, I'm 1/2 way to a used PC. Dual core is looking ahead through the next 5 years. Yeah, I'm watching CL, just not getting the phone/email out fast enough. Using the RSS feed which is about 24hr behind.

Thats nuts. Well I know my little brother has a dual core athlon 64 computer that was kepping around as a spare. What do you think is a going price on that. He only had a crt monitor for it, but it sounds like you might have that already. it was in a lan boy antec case and had a ati x1600 ish card i think.

  6. Ok, so I would love to some day open up my own retail store and just sell good computer equpiment locally, but in the mean time I found a great Craiglist deal for a monitor and I picked it up. I didn't know if anyone would be intersted in it since I am wanting a 120Hz monitor. I will bring it to the LAN party so you can see it in action there. It will come with the office depot receipt that was puchased with cash on 8/2/10 for $195.74. The price is $100 and you can find the specs about it below:

  7. On a different note, can anyone spare a cooler for the day as wifey will have ours for the day?

    I got you covered

Thanks, also need some LAN cables... been so busy I haven't had the Ethernet cables finalized yet!

I am sure PurSuit will have some, but I will bring my spool and crimper just incase. My in-laws have my cooler, but I can try to get it back. I have one of those big gatoraid ones that holds more than you can carry.

  8. Yea, it's all in the tools of the trade and console gamers are heavily limited. I remember playing Decent against someone who had a flight stick and he could do things I couldn't even attempt on a keyboard and mouse. Sure some console games have support for keyboard and mouse, but you don't see people typically sitting inches away from their TVs at a desk. Consoles always have a place in my living room as casual gaming, but when I really want to get serious I jump on the PC.
